Have stayed here several times. Quite good location average rooms and good breakfast were available. However at my last stay we were put into the attic room behind a faux bookcase mural on the landing. This is not a good room. Im not sure how it even passes safety inspection. The room is accessed by a very steep narrow starcase... More

Dear please note that when YOU booked the room on the website IT CLEARLY states that the room is an attic room with steep flight of stairs and a private bathroom on a different floor. Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Regards More

First off parking, Lincoln doesn't seem to like cars so parking is tricky. You can park for two hours outside during the day and we did see a car park a short distance away towards the castle but it looked short stay. On arrival you step off the road into a restaurant which was fortunately empty as we saw no... More

Was looking for a good restaurant to celebrate my fiance's birthday and was given this place as a recommendation from the owner of the Bronze Pig - so had high(ish) expectations :-) Location was OK, we were fortunate enough to have had a parking space right outside the front door Loved the decor inside and even the separate enclaves that... Although effectively a restaurant, The Old Bakery offers abut 4 rooms accommodation. We were given a voucher as a present and chose here to stay for one night. We had an excellent room (Room 3) which is not your typical hotel room, bearing in mind that this is a converted Bakery. Low ceilings, very comfortable, quiet, high quality fitments and... More

The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern. The shower had plenty of hot water. The breakfast was delicious. We were within walking distance of the cathedral and castle. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This was our fourth stay at the Old Bakery & it was also my birthday. Teresa and I chose to have the six course "tast of Italy" with wine to accompany each course, we both found this to be an excellent decision. Each course and wine came with a detailed explanation by the knowledgable staff and the time flew by,... More

We had the tasting menu with a Groupon voucher which made it very good value, the 5 courses were expertly prepared and cooked with real flavour. The service was also excellent, and I can recommend the matching wines which really added to the experience.

We had a groupon voucher for a 5 course meal for 2 here, which we supplemented with the wine tasting menu. We had a great experience, lovely food and the wine selected to go with the courses matched perfectly. We recommend and would love to return

We stayed here for Easter Weekend & had a lovely time. Rooms are a very reasonable rate, exceptionally clean with a great hospitality tray. We ate in the restaurant on Friday evening & the food was as good as the reviews had promised, I'll never forget my miso soup, yum!!. The room was so quiet we slept really well &... More

If you like to stay somewhere with character and history you will like it here. It's within close proximity to the cathedral and town. It's a lovely old building full of original features. We stayed in the newly refurbished double en suite room. It was beautifully decorated (although the feature wall above the bed had insect wallpaper, albeit classy, for... More
