The Hotel is in a fabulous location next to the Cathedral, with magnificent views over Lincoln, however Boutique Hotel it is not, shabby chic is a better description. From entering its apparent that the entire hotel is in need of a long overdue makeover, paintwork, wall coverings and carpets all needing attention. The Hotel does not even have a bar.We booked a room requesting a bath and... Management needs to adhere and ensure that correct qualified Staff is on duty at Reception at all times. The lethargic Man who greeted us from behind the reception desk was Rude and extremely arrogant. Accommodation was booked 7 months in advance with constant emails in advance and confirmations to Australia but he could not confirm on the day our room number... More

If this hotel lacks anything it is sinage! It is very difficult to find even with directions simply because the minsters yard does not have any sinage showing that the hotel is there. It looks like the sat nav is taking you down a track . Once in, parking is at a premium and we suffered from some very bad... More

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at the Old Palace. Like many reviewers we missed the turning to the hotel which is tucked away under an archway but that was only a minor inconvenience as the upside is that we stayed in a beautiful historic building. Car parking generally is a bit tight as the hotel shares the... More

Having spent years of loyalty to another boutique hotel I decided to make a change and pay alittle more. A decision well worth it. The superior room was beautiful, the complimentary toiletries, teas, water, robes etc all added to the experience. Nice touches all round (leather do not disturb sign - shame I didnt get to use it!). The service... More

Stayed for two nights. Perfect location and views of cathedral. Lovely to hear the bells. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast was delicious. In general, the service was good. Easy to park. Highly recommended hotel for lincoln sightseeing. The building is beautiful. Very quiet spot. Only a couple of niggles. In the morning, my corridor was completely full... More

We stayed here for two days during the October half term. The entrance is through an archway and past the ruins of the old palace and the car park is a packed courtyard in front of the hotel. Our small rooms overlooked the car park but the compensation if you looked up to the left was stunning views of the... More

This is a great location for the main attractions of Lincoln and it is handy for a wide variety of restaurants. Car parking is tight but you are centrally parked FOC so it is worth the hassle if the car park is busy. The rooms clearly vary due to the age of the building but that is all part of... More

Stayed here for two nights. Difficult to find although my SAT nav did get me there, although without signs I wasn't sure I should be driving through what looked like a private archway/ property. Even outside there is no sign that it is a hotel! Lovely building with the Cathedral just up the hill from it. Purchased a good value... More
