Where do I start. Lincoln was booked up that night but I found a room at the Hillcrest, now I know why. The main door is locked and you ring an intercom, I was met by a fellow in a scruffy tee shirt who told me I was in room 15 top of the stairs (3 flights), never booked me... more

Very quiet hotel a short walk uphill to the Cathedral. Room 10 (£95 B&B) with canopy bed is very spacious with a good view but a bit chintzy. Breakfast is very good in a conservatory with a good view. Staff very helpful and friendly. Pleasant small bar. Would stay again. more
