I booked this hotel as a surprise birthday present for my friend. I had previously stayed in the brand new Holiday Inn express, which is super modern but wanted to something a bit more special so went for the more expensive, slightly better located Holiday Inn. I read the reviews a few weeks after booking on this site and was... more

Same comments as before, tired and somewhat worn out. Antiquated heating/ventilation. Poor quality food at Breakfast - processed orange juice and flavorless Bacon. Overpriced drinks in bar which is probably the reason for Zero yes Zero peoples in it on a Saturday night apart from the lack of atmosphere ! more

With a longish drive home after a week in Northumbria and never having been to Lincoln before we booked a night at the Lincoln Holiday Inn - a King Standard Room with Evening meal & Breakafast. A modern hotel in a re developed area of the Town it was smaller and had less facilities than other Inns we have stayed... more

Much better than expected having read the Trip Advisor reviews. The room was in good condition - almost as good as when we stayed here in its previous guise as the newly opened Courtyard by Marriott way back in 1980. The bar area was nice, service good and prices reasonable. It was busy on the nght we stayed. The hotel... more

We use this hotel each time we stay in Lincoln as it is very central and have never had any problems. My advice would be ring the booking line to reserve a room and ask for one on the 'wharfside' you will then get two double beds and a lovely marina view!! Rooms are clean bathrooms clean and they let... more

Just returned from a one night stay at this hotel. Having read other reviews we were apprehensive about what it would be like. Very pleasantly surprised though. The hotel is in a great location, right by the marina and five to ten minutes walk from the main shopping area. On checking in we asked if we could have a room... more

Getting to the car park was confusing, if we hadn't read previous reviews we wouldn't have realisied you needed to drive on the pedestrian only part of the marina. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the car park, not a pretty sight but our car was parked right outside our room. The net curtains were either very old... more

Hotel is in excellent location for city centre and plenty of lovely restaurants on waterfront. From the outside looks fine however reception area tiny rooms tired looking and very noisy during night from extractor fans. We were on the 3rd floor above restaurant and adjacent to extractor fans which came on every 5 minutes then stayed on for 5 minutes.... more

I agree with the other people that have stayed here- we did not feel that the staff really wanted to be there and when we checked in they were more interested in carring on their own conversation. There were not enough staff to cope with all teh guests in the morning foe breakfast especially on the sunday . One plus... more

Beautiful location on waterfront, although could be noisy during summer months if staying in rooms facing water. Plenty of bars/restaurants within a few minutes walk. The first room we were allocated had a leak from the toilet, so we were moved to an identical room on another floor. Both rooms overlooked the car park (£5 per night payable) at the... more
