We spent a warm August night in the Holiday Inn, Lincoln, and were annoyed by the fact that the air-conditioning unit could not be used as its fan rattled loudly. When we asked to move our room, we found that the unit in the new room was just as bad. Our discomfort was made worse because the single opening window... more

Breakfast now degenerated further. The excellent coffee machine has been replaced by table service from a jug of a brown liquid with no flavour ! Orange juice is well orange coloured and pretty awful. Where are the Actimel type yoghurt drinks and the 54 different items on offer. 4 people in the bar on a Lincoln Uni graduation week and... more

Location by the Lincoln basin couldn't be bettered for the town and all the sights. Good-sized car park, friendly staff, nice good sized room and great buffet breakfast., bar and restaurant choices. Only downside is a charge of £5 per night for car parking - the principle, not the price. Seems petty for a hotel of this price and standard. more

This hotel is very convenient for everything that Lincoln has to offer a tourist, great location at the side of Brayford Pool with lots of restaurants and bars. Our room was lovely - Executive room - with flat screen tv, kingsize bed and all the usual extras. But the negative bits - room service for breakfast totally disorganised, ridiculous charge... more

Not clean. Not sold as described. No dressing gowns. View of hotel porch awning. Only one chocolate for two people. Three of main courses in restaurant not available! Don't care attitude of staff. Complained to HO who also made us feel under valued. more

Step back into the late 1980s in this hotel which has had nothing spent on it since then. So called executive rooms have a nice view of the marina but the furniture is dated, faded and worn out. Bathroom was clean but the tiles were ancient and some were cracked. The shower was very feeble Only one bed side table... more

Just returned from one nite at this hotel. Very easy to find. Just follow the good directions on the hotel web site. Parking is good and only costs £5. Staff very good. Hotel clean and tidy. Large rooms. We found a couple of well known resturants just 2 mins away. Nice view from rooms as the hotel over looks canal,... more

After reading some of the reviews on TripAdvisor, I was a little apprehensive about our stay. However, there was no need. The hotel was excellent. Great location on the river, easy to find with ample parking. We stayed in a standard room which was clean and roomy. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Will stay here again. more

This hotel is very difficult to find, not to be confused with the holiday inn express which looks like a converted 60's office block. When entering Lincoln do not turn left which it is signposted "Marina" go to the light turn right and go past "Christophers" and turn right. You then go into a road that has an NCP car... more

Not the cheapest place at rack rates, and the bar prices are high, but staff are friendly and helpful. Both rooms were fine (my wife and I met up with the in laws for Waddington airshow.) so either we got lucky, or refurbs have been carried out on the "tired" rooms now. Only niggles we had were one of the... more
