This hotel is awful, the staff are NOT helpful, the place is run by children. Go to the white hart if you want a nice stay in lincoln. This place is a shambles to say the least! And as for the bar don't ask for a beer, they haven't a clue how to pour one of them let alone make... more

This is a refurbished 1960's hotel, but don't be put off - it has a prime position just about 100 metres from Lincoln Cathedral, considered by some to be the finest in England. The hotel restaurant is a particular strength with a short dinner menu largely locally sourced. more

Got a great deal directly from the hotel, our room was in the old part and although not large did have loads of character and a great view of the catherdral. The bathroom was wonderful and the bath filled up quicker than any I have ever had a bath in. The breakfast was the best we have ever had in... more

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with an excellent view of the Cathedral. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. more

This is the second time I have stayed on business and I do not have any major criticisms. Nice room with all the facilities you need as a business traveller in trouser press, tv, internet, coffee making. Quiet until 7 am when the cathedral bells start which saved a wake-up call. Breakfast is extensive in cold meats, english, yoghurts, breads... more

Stayed for weekend on a virgin experience break. Check in was very effecient and friendly. Room was warm, cosy, very comfy bed and excellent cathedral view. The shower had no door though so the bathroom floor did get very wet!! We found the breakfast to be very good, the food was hot, tasty, and quickly replenished. Plus lots of fresh... more

Efficient reception staff on arrival at 9pm. Good car park. A number of functions underway and lots of activity. Room adequate with good bathroom, but no wardrobe - only 5 large pegs on the wall! Excellent position opposite Cathedral, but beware of bells at 7am onwards. Self-service breakfast good in spacious, light dining room. General impression given of well-kept, clean,... more

The Lincoln is an ugly 1970s build hotel facing the Cathedral. Whilst I appreciate I was charged for the location, £100 was an incredible price for a pokey room, along the end of an horribly over-heated corridor, which hadn't seen a lick of paint for 20 years or more. The TV didn't work properly, the bed moved as I sat... more

I booked before reading the reviews on here and thought I'd made a huge mistake! I was pleasantly surprised therefore to get the lovely experience I got at the Lincoln. I was prepared for the modern frontage but the airy reception area was decorated very well, in a retro way, which seemed popular with afternoon tea drinkers and folk on... more

i stayed in this hotel with my partner on the 12th aug and to say the least i was not happy with my stay at all. Whilst travelling to the hotel, i became slightly lost so i decided to call the hotel to find out where exactly it was, the young lady who answered the telphone was more than unhelpful... more
