Minster Lodge in Lincoln is conveniently located at the top of the hill and near one of the wall arches leading in to the city. You can easily walk from there to the main attractions of Lincoln. We were warmly welcomed by Rachel who showed us to our spacious en suite room and she was subsequently most helpful in providing... More

My daughter and I stayed here for our annual pre-Christmas weekend. I was enticed by the glowing reviews. However we were disappointed. It is very clean and neat, and the cooked breakfast was nice but overall we feel it doesn't warrant 5 stars. There was no proper welcome when we arrived - just shown our room but not given any... Jeff C covered it all, what else can I say, brilliant !!!! Warmest welcome form Steven Rachel and Janet, the best breakfast ever, lots of choice nothing a problem,( don't know where the complaining guest was staying but it must not have been here). We have been here many times and look forward to returning, all rooms are immaculate, with... More

My stay covered a period of three weeks between Late August and early September. I stayed in rooms 2 and 3 and was impressed by the level of furnishings, the cleanliness and the comfort of both rooms. I slept soundly on every occasion and was not aware of traffic, which was mentioned by the guest who has left a somewhat... More

A well-proportioned building close to the cathedral, spoilt in our case by the impossibility of getting any sleep because of the incessant flow of traffic only 15 feet from the front bedroom of the house, and which stopped only between 2 and 4 in the morning. Why is there no double or triple glazing ? In addition, the showers were... More

I am very disappointed that you have found your stay at Minster Lodge on the 10th of September, not to your expectation. It is very, very rare that we receive any negative (in fact you’re the first) feedback either on Trip adviser or on any other sites that we use . I have investigated your comments and would like to... More

We arrived at Minster Lodge and was greeted by the warmest of welcomes from Rachel. The room was very clean, spacious and out of the window revealed a lovely leafy area of Lincoln. The Lodge is a beautiful building full of charm and only a stones throw from the Cathedral, many boutques, resturants and a fabulous pubs busting with life... More

Our fifth stay in the last four years. Initially a chance find has become a firm favourite. Would recommend it to anyone intending to visit Lincoln. Hope to revisit later in the year. Minster Lodge is ideally situated for the upper Lincoln area. The Cathedral, Castle, tearooms and a variety of excellent restaurants – Café Zoot, Gino's and Brown's Pie... More

We "found" this superb B and B via the Internet, and booked our two night stay from New Zealand. What a great decision - this would be one of the loveliest places we have stayed in during many trips to the UK! It is very well located in the historic part of Lincoln, just a short walk from the impressive... More

This B&B is fantastic, Rachel is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble for her and her family, the breakfast (cooked to perfection by her Mum) is one of the best we have ever had in a B&B, we are always made very welcome even when we phone up as short notice, If you get the chance to...
