This was a great opportunity to hop into Lincoln on a brief overnight trip into Lincoln to meetup with friends. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and well thought contemporay designed lay-out with an independant area for preparing meals. With the added bonus of parking off road, outside the revamped stable building, there was minimal distance to carry luggage. An extremely... More

Philippa at the Stables B & B makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. She cooks the breakfast as you eat the fresh fruit and drink the freshly squeezed orange juice. The nice touches are her homemade jam made with fruits from the garden and proper bread! There is... Philippa and Andy run this small (3 bedrooms) boutique bed and breakfast with a passion. Nothing is too much bother. Andy in particular is a veritable gold mine of information and local history. Within an unassuming location lies the unexpected gem of the Stables. A couple of minutes walk from the historic sights of Lincoln the B and B is... More

We stayed four nights in mid-summer, and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Lincoln and surrounding areas. Philippa made us very welcome throughout. We really liked having our breakfast cooked in the same room, and chatting to her. Very good breakfast too. The Stables is well appointed, comfortable and clean. It is within easy strolling distance of the city centre with... More

We stayed over for a night in December to visit the Christmas Market. The room was lovely, cosy and very clean, with everything you could need for a stay over. The bed was very comfy and decor bright and cheerful. There is parking available off street in the courtyard and breakfast is served in an open dining area in full... More

In an inauspicious thjough quiet and peaceful part of town, the Stables was a little hard for my satnav to find. This was solely due to the eccentric layout of Saxon Street. The Stables is located in the uphill part of Lincoln where the main tourist attractions are located, Be aware that Lincoln ancient and modern are divide ny a... More

Philippa and Andy made us both feel very welcome. The rooms are lovely and the facilities are great. The location is perfect, just around the corner from the Bailgate, 5 minutes walk to the Castle and Cathedral. If you are visiting Lincoln then we would recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed!

The Stables is perfectly located close to the middle of Lincoln on a quiet side street, so it's less than 10 minutes' walk in, but a peaceful night's sleep. The building is lovely, a converted stables block separate to the main house, and the rooms are beautifully decorated, stylish and faultlessly clean. Philippa is warm and friendly, and the breakfast... More
