The Travel lodge was old, shabby and very poor value for money at £69/night, excluding breakfast which was only available in the form of a carton box take-away. Only stay there if you have no alternative other than a park bench. This place can only be improved by knocking it down and building a proper hotel.

Whilst this hotel was clean and tidy inside, the exterior should be improved. Ground floor rooms suffer with a noisy reception area and a front door which needs fixing. However, the room was clean and reasonably tidy. Service was pleasant Parking is in a pub car park which tends to be noisy late on and disabled parking is taken up... More

A little surprised on walking through the door to see a 'box' which was the reception. The receptionist seemed surprised to see me even though I had booked the room some weeks earlier. She gave me options on which room I might like and and recommended that I have a room at the back of the building on the ground... More

A friend and I booked this for one night after a gig a long way from home. On arrival the man at the desk was blunt and unfriendly. He directed us to our room which had a double bed instead of the twin we booked a week ago and he had confirmed 5 mins previously. We immediately went back downstairs... More

I've been staying here during the week for the last few weeks as I am working in the area. I know Travelodges are the budget end of the market so I don't expect too much. I would characterise the overall feel as 'clean but shabby'. Tea/coffee facilities in every room, and a Samsung flat screen TV. Good so far. Fittings... More

My wife and I booked this hotel as a stop over en-route to my sisters. We were informed it was awaiting renovation and may not meet our expectations. If we wanted to cancel there would be no charge. However, on arrival we were pleasantly surprised the room was clean and tidy, the bed comfortable, the TV (and remote) worked and... More

well positioned for easy access to town and the m1, there is a gastropub next door although it was busy when I looked in. the only gripe was the showerhead was a bit small but then I might have been a bit spoiled by the Travelodge I stayed in the previous night.

Room was adequate for a one night stop over but wouldn 't be keen to stay for long periods. Basically OK but could do with a complete re-furbishment. I suppose quite good value for what you get (not expensive when compared with other hotels), but not for the more discerning.

I stay in the area regularly and have used this particular travelodge on a few occassions. It is great value and for me well located for relatives and Leicester City Center. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful though contact is usually minimal in these budget hotels. I've always found this one to be clean and well decorated... More
