had to drop in for a nights stay here after a breakdown. the lady on reception was so friendly, offered us straight into a room, without even knowing if we needed to spend the night there yet. she put the heating on and offered us the use of the tea and coffee making facilities and the tv etc which was... more

i have stayed in various travelodges, some good some bad, this was good .. location ideal being only 5 mins walk from town centre & 10 mins walk from university .. It was a new building so had a fresh feeling to it. Only snag there was no car parking; the nearest was a 5 min walk away which costs... more

Now I know this isn't the Ritz but what with the new highcross being built, you would think the quality standards would be of some significance?! Reception staff somewhat helpful but the room had no air conditioning, the windows are restricted (health & saftey) but no air in the room which was stuffy! Very standard room which I suppose I... more

I stayed here in Jan 2007. I don't mind basic but I recall the room being a mustily warm and a bit dirty. I was staying there for a week and the staff skipped cleaning my room on more than one occasion. I wasn't spending a lot of time in the room so it was okay, and furthermore I got... more

We stayed at the Travelodge on New Year's Eve in 2007 as it was close to bars and the casino. Yes, the room was basic but it was clean. There was an extra bed under the window that took up quite a bit of space, but we put our luggage on it and then later knelt on it to watch... more

My mum lives in a small place in Leicester, so me an partner wanted a place to crash whilst visiting. Have stayed in a couple of Travelodges, in US and also in Caerphilly. US tends to be okay, clean, know what you are getting. Caerphilly okay, though bed too soft. But Leicester Central? First room offered had a half consumed... more

For a new hotel, this is disgusting. From foyer to room: the walls, floors, ceilings and lifts were dirty and grubby. In the room it was not any better with hand prints on the walls, stains on the carpets, dirty floor in bathroom, mould around the bath. Icing on the cake was a pillow with stains all over it. I... more

No parking apart from an NCP across a dual carriageway. Very rough area of town . Room far too hot and unable to open window due to road noise. No soap in room and took staff 30 mins. to find me some. En-suite door handle came off in my hand. Last straw was going to have a bath, then realising... more

Firstly navigating the one way streets of the centre of Leicester is not fun (although not the hotels fault), when we did finally manage to get into the one way street where the hotel was located we discovered that there was no car park!! so you have to park in the NCP car park next to the holiday inn round... more
