Not a great stay, the place is looking a bit tired, which is exactly how we felt when we left. It was the worst nights sleep ever. The room itself was ok, the basics were covered, although no Iron. The bathroom however did need a deep clean. The only saving grace was the full English breakfast, great poached eggs. I... More

This was booked as close to my Leicester office. The staff were all very polite and helpful, and location good. Ample safe parking too. Sadly my room, No9 on the first floor was a little tired and in need of redecoration, In Particularly the bathroom which was very dated, and poor. The room was clean and functional, and for one... I like the Regency, it is reasonably priced, good breakfast and nice polite staff. However on this occasion I got a room with a shower that didn't work. I did report it and the guy on reception said he would get it fixed. The hotel is in a good location and is now my regular when staying in Leicester.

Just back from one overnight stay with husband after family event in Leiester. Not been to this place for a number of years so was quite shocked to see how tired and run down it looks now. Rooms clean comfortable bed but small rooms tiny bathroom with chipped bath surface. Small tv. ( would be better wall mounted) plenty of tea... More

I stayed here as I had my work Christmas party at Leicester Tigers, which is a short journey away by taxi. Very impressed with the large, free car park. Room was good - nice and warm with very comfy bed. Full English breakfast is included in the price of the room - brilliant.

Its an old hotel, big rooms, quaint wallpaper. Plenty of parking. Reception was quick and efficient. Got top floor room overlooking the road which was noisy especially as the windows are not double insulated. If you need a dark room, use the extra blanket in the wardrobe over the curtain rail...we did. The road did get quieter but ask for... More

Really convenient location on the 31 bus route - frequent service into the centre and to Oadby. Much nicer than the generic central Leicester places. If only the restaurant was open on weekends - no idea why it isn't.

We stayed one night during a visit to Leicester. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is a bit dated and 1970s, but clean and comfortable nonetheless. Our room was clean, warm and spacious and had everyhting we needed. The staff member Lee was extremely helpful and was happy to arrange a taxi for us . The breakfasts... More

Very friendly people at the reception and i have eaten very nice curry. Hotel is not renovated since ages and really needs it. Breakfast is horrible: ugly room and very unfriendly and overstressed older lady. In the kitchen there was a discussion, so i had to wait very long time... conclusion: evening was great, room was dated and morning bad.

There is obviously no way of choosing the inmates of rooms adjacent your your own when staying at a hotel. I was unfortunate enough to end up opposite a room where the occupant did nothing but shout out load with startling and monotonous regularity. The hotel staff tried repeatedly to make him be quiet but in the end, kindly moved... More
