Stopped at the regency on a Sunday night (£40) greeted by pleasant staff visited the bar which was very relaxing and friendly barman.the room was ok very comfortable bed with fresh feel sheets the TV abit small with limited channels. Little minor things like flickering lamp and lose shower head but all in all the hotel is clean with a... More

This hotel looked quirky and unusual on the Internet and promised luxury, so it was disappointing to find first of all our room was up four flights of stairs and no lift although our suitcase was taken up for us. The de luxe room was in real need of refurbishment. The old-fashioned light fittings offered little illumination and there was... More

Last minute booking made by work, not me...or I'd have hopefully avoided due to reviews on here. Looks ok from the road, however from a closer viewpoint it gets worse...and worse... Very tired decor all round, cleanliness not the best. Bedroom and bathroom small, grubby, poor state of decor. Bathroom really needed a deep clean, though no excuse for pubic... More

Lots of parking. Warm welcome. Got assistance with my bags. The room was simple but not very clean. Stains on bathroom shelves. Decor dated but fine. Evening meal was very basic - mircowaved lasagne and pudding. Waitress at breakfast was unfriendly and didn't even say a simple good morning. Basic breakfast options - warm yogurts. This hotel lacks an atmosphere.... More

This was an overnight stay in Leicester for work.....I usually go to a low cost chain hotel, but was fully booked and more expensive than I wanted to pay. The regency hotel offered B&B for £55. The location was convenient just off the outer ring road of Leicester by Leicester Race Course. The appearance of the outside was fine, but... More

One night bed & breakfast enroute to family funeral. Chosen for value (Booking.com deal), free parking, access to motorways and bus routes, free wifi. First impression yes it has seen better days but for one night only does the wallpaper really matter? Simple check in. Room 6 - first floor rear. Tiny bathroom but with all facilities. Very comfortable bed... More

I stayed here for work in a single room and found that the hotel was excellent. I got my room for a very good price, and this even included a free breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, well looked after and had everything I needed in it. The 24HR reception is also very handy! Highly recommended... More

Am affraid i have to agree with other people, i normally take reviews on here with a pinch of salt and average out the good with bad. But this hotel is very dated and over priced am affraid it is more like a b&b than a hotel. But i must give credit to the staff they are all good and... More

Like the previous reviewer, I came for the Richard lll reinterment events. Hotel rooms were thin on the ground so these guys saw an opportunity for a rip off. I was charged £165 for a room that on average would be around £40 a night.I assumed from the price and their own description that this was a first class hotel.... More
