Stayed at The Grand on a recent visit to Leicester. It's right in the City Centre so wonderfully convenient and there is plenty of parking at a good rate for guests. I got a fantastic deal by booking well in advance (without breakfast). Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms - no complaints at all. I hate hotel breakfasts which are... More

We stayed here for 1 night on Friday 11th April on route to Newark - easy to find , good parking, very central to shops & restaurants. Hotel was a bit tired looking, could do with some new carpets in the halls, lift a bit small and clanky - room was a good size bed was good and comfy -... More

I had a one night midweek stop in this hotel having come up from four nights in a beautiful hotel in Brighton for which I paid less than this hotel per night. I arrived to see an impressive exterior and reception, however for the nightly tariff, I arrived in a very average looking room, a little on the tired side... More

This hotel is really nice, literally a 2 min walk from Leicester train station. I requested early check in at 1pm which was accomadated and the receptionist was really friendly and helpful. Room was good and had everything I needed, I cant comment on the food as I found it to be expensive, but there is a Subway next door,... More

I have stayed regularly in the Grand Hotel on business over a period of 6-7 months, and in roughly after over a hundred nights of staying there, I have never had a problem with any room, food, the staff or check in... So that speaks for itself !! Check-in is always quick with the very pleasant staff at reception, rooms... More

Whilst choosing where to stay in our weekend in Leicester I looked around for the best deal, Forget Travelodge, Premier inn etc This came out cheapest with 3 sharing a room! For the quality and location you cant go wrong. The hotel is centrally located for shopping, venues and night-life. We stayed for the Comedy festival. There was a misunderstanding... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. All our room only rates are per room not per person. Therefore it does offer good value for money when you book well in advance. However we only have one triple room hence the confusion on check in as you can on book a single, twin or double online. I... More

I stayed here on business in December 2013 and paid a room rate of £100 per night excluding breakfast. The hotel is located in the middle of the town and has an old fashioned majestic charm to it. Reception and lobby are very impressive and large, the check in experience was great, quick and efficient. The room was not the... More

The hotel itself is in need of updating. The various rooms I have had are clearly showing signs of age and wear and tear. The rooms have old furniture and bathrooms need modernising. The food in the restaurant could be better and doesn't reflect good value for money. Food generally takes a long while to come out: not only when... More

Overall our experience at this hotel was very good, location suberb, car parking excellent, check in quick and easy, room very clean, our only issues were one the shower not a lot of pressure and leaked onto floor through curtain, two breakfast, poor choice, cold ,wasn't worth the money. But overall would highly recommend this hotel.
