Chose the New Kent for a short break during the illuminations and were not dissapointed. A friendly welcome awaited us and we were shown to our family room which was a lot more spacious than expected, not the shoeboxes that some would pass off as family rooms. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and Tony was very accomodating with our... more

Thank you for the review of our family room and although I am sure it is not the biggest family room in Blackpool it was spacious than you expected. We are around 4 miles from the Pleasure Beach and 1.6 miles from the Tower. We know of many guests who have walked their breakfast off also however the Tower is...

Excellent value for money. Rooms clean. Breakfast at a time that suited us. Freshly cooked breakfast. Bar available in lounge that had good slection especially the Guinness which was second to none. Children made to feel at home. Will stay again. Family room had double bed and bunk beds which the kids loved. more

Hi thanks for the review and the kind words. The Guinness Surger we now have installed has gone down a real treat with all Guinness drinkers and I have challenged all to disagree! We always ask guests to book a time for breakfast as if everyone came down at the same time we would have to had pre-cooked the breakfast....

Friendly owners, convenient location, fantastic breakfast. No request seemed too much effort. Bar in lounge decent selection (including bottled real ales) at a reasonable price - useful when it rains (very heavily). If you are planning a visit to Blackpool I'd be surprised if you could find a better Bed & Breakfast. more

Thanks for the comments about our real ale and fantastic breakfast. As with all our customers we aim to ensure that everyone leaves feeling they have been away and to do this we have tried to be as warm and welcoming as possible. Hope to see you soon.

Myself and my wife went to blackpool for our 2nd year wedding anniversary and stayed 2nights at the new kent. The staff were very welcoming, very approachable and very nice people. The lounge was very homely, and the mini bar there was very handy too. I often came down for a pint whilst the other half was getting ready. The... more

My wife and I had a lovely weekend in the New Kent. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was superb, and service was with a smile. The tram stop is lierally a minute away (at Uncle Tom's Cabin pub). The only problem we had was the Sky Blues got trashed by Blackpool, but I don't think we can... more

Thank you for the comments and yes 'please do not take it out on us as the Sky Blues lost!' Lol There is always next year I am sure. We do feel that we are far enough from all the noise, stag and hen parties in Blackpool yet on the door step of all of Blackpool's wonderful offerings. A tram...

This was my first visit since the change of ownership and the standards have been maintained, if not improved. Unfortunately I did not get to sample the legendary breakfast this time due to early starts as I was staying on business (I promise to try it next time). Whenever you stay at the New Kent you always feel as if... more

Thank you for the review and hopefully sampling our breakfast next time will really show you just how far we have moved forward. We did have some large shoes to fill when Dave and Maureen retired and we are very pleased you feel we have maintained if not improved. We look forward to seeing you in the Illuminations

We, as a family of five stayed in this B&B for a short stay of three nights during July 2009. We have stayed at many different hotels and B&B's in Blackpool over the years, and from our own experiences, can certainly say that the New Kent has been one of the best. It is nice to get a bit of... more

Many thanks for your review and yes we believe that our location has many advantages to those B&B hotels that are situated right in the center of town and all the loud action. The quiet nights sleep and safer parking means so much to many travelers these days and we are very glad you agree. We are only 1.6 miles...

My daughter and I had a very enjoyable, though unfortunately brief, stay at The New Kent this weekend, and with little expectations, had a very pleasant surprise. The bar area was roomy, cozy and very child friendly, the breakfast IS as lovely as everyone else has made out and the owners are like long lost friends. (Tony can pour a... more

Thank you for your review. We welcome all guests with open arms and try to make sure that they feel relaxed and aware of our bar lounge and breakfast timings etc. We do not feel it is rocket science to have a clean B&B, warm welcome and friendly atmosphere where as you did, all are able to enjoy there time...
