Another great stay at the Doric. We introduced a new set of friends to the hotel moving them from another hotel up the road, with great delight they were delighted with their stay. So again a big thank you to all staff and especially to James (restaurant manager) for making the stay that little more special it can be difficult... More

Just returned from a family break with our two children. Everything was spot on. Home cooked food was delicious and plenty of it, hotel was immaculately clean, swimming pool was great and kept the kids entertained for hours along with the kids entertainer at night. The children loved the 'mocktails' aswell which were served on the bar - we also... More

My family and I love this hotel just back from yet again a great week. The hotel has real character and a beautiful building. We had a standard room and it was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was defiantly the best we have ever had in Blackpool and always plenty on the plates come evening meal. We were so... More

My family recently met up at The Doric Hotel in Blackpool for a special birthday weekend and would recommend it to anyone. Having young children is a stressful time during meals but this is easily resolved with a separate family dining room. A children's entertainer came on after dinner and kept the young ones busy while the parents and grandparents... More

The bedroom was horrible. Very outdated and shabby . We arrived late otherwise I don't think we would have stayed. Thought about finding another hotel for next night. If it wasn't for James (restaurant manager) at breakfast we would have left. Evening meal was good. Breakfast ok. Most staff not very friendly. Entertainment not very good, didn't know what was... Rooms: First room 33 was terrible handle missing from wardrobe door, bunkbeds and horrible smell. Complained and moved to 35 refurbished with separate area for kids beds, 2 flatscreen tvs. Water in bathroom roasting hot daughter burnt arm on tap. Hallways had a bad mouldy smell in places but looked clean. Staff: breakfast waiter lovely friendly and cheery. Gave us... More

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Doric, where as always all staff especially James the head waiter were extremely helpful and very professional. We have been using the Doric for 5 years now and have never been disappointed and free Wi-Fi has now been included since our last stay. The standards of cleanliness are brilliant, the food... More

Before I start this review I would just like to say I visited the Doric last year and gave the hotel a rating of 5. I visited the Doric this year for 2 weeks. The hotel is on the whole a friendly place to take children, although I must say while we was there children were left unattended by their... More

Myself, husband and two children stayed at the Doric last week and having stayed at 'premier' hotels such as Hilton they do not have a patch on this hotel. It is a great family run hotel, everything from every single member of staff being very pleasant and couldn't do enough for you to the high quality of food. We stayed... More
