Great place to stay in Blackpool, five minutes walk to the front and Blackpool Tower. Hosts Ray and Caroline are great hosts, knowledgeable and friendly. The room was cozy and comfortable with lots of extras including hot chocolate, cookies, bottles of water and chocolates. Wonderful breakfast includes fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals and the best traditional English fry up breakfast. We... More

Ray and Caroline are there to welcome you and to make your stay as friendly and relaxing as possible. Situated in the heart of Blackpool the Avonlea Hotel is perfectly placed for those expeditions around Europe's largest seaside resort. Avonlea Hotel is convenient for the Famous Blackpool Tower, The Blackpool Illuminations, The Winter Gardens, Coral Island, The Promenade and all the city centre shops. The Avonlea Hotel is fully licensed with a nice friendly bar area for our guests to relax and enjoy a few drinks in comfy surrounds, chat and maybe make some new friends. In the morning you will find breakfast here at the Avonlea a pleasant and relaxed experience with a wide range of breakfast options available, why not start with some fresh fruit and cereals, a croissant maybe or even a kipper? For the more adventurous amongst us The Avonlea full English is a must as many testimonies state it is not for the faint hearted. After this relax in the bar area with a fresh ground coffee and the daily newspapers while pondering the days activities, will it be the pleasure beach, Blackpool tower ( the circus is a must for young and old alike ) or even Blackpool zoo so much to do and never enough time. Come the evening why not catch a show at The Grand Theatre, Winter gardens or the Opera house. Many of the great comedians are on through the summer season on the North pier and not forgetting the illuminations throughout October and November, From the Avonlea there is no need to join the masses in cars as we are just a three minute stroll to the promenade If a quiet night in is the order of the day then Sky TV is available in the bar or browse the Internet using our FREE wifi. The Avonlea is a great central location to be and do as much or as little as you want on you visit to Blackpool. ... more   less
