cudnt call this a hotel it was like sumthing from 1960...... there was a awful smell on the staircase........didnt even include breakfast mind u wudnt have wanted to eat there
Hotel and rooms are dated, the hotel was warm but not enough heating for a very cold December stay
nice people the onwers but place very old . place cold in the mornings frezzing and noisey why some one would put a double glazed window unit into a roten wooden 50 year old window i dont know the wind and noise blowing through it my got and the heat going straight out the window wasting energy did not have...

Great place to stay central to all attractions,Dave and Jill make you feel very welcome rooms are cheap and cheerful very clean and compact,would stay again
I have stayed at the Grasmere on a few occasions and the owners Dave and Jill are lovely friendly and accomodating people. I always feel welcome there and the hotel is very clean with a lovely cooked breakfast. Even vegetarian options are offered at breakfast. I understand the food in the evening is great too.
