Booked this hotel ( the grand beach hotel) because it was so close to the pleasure beach then I read the reviews and was like oh no what was I thinking. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were lovely and when we got to our room it was okay too. It was a room for a... More

Absolute MESS! Stayed here with 3 of my mates, looking for a bit of a break and a few drinks... Where do I even begin! we book for 3 nights but could ONLY MANAGE 1! The place was vile! Dirty, paper thin walls (we could hear the gentleman snoring above us) the breakfast (so they called it) I would not... More

We visited the Grand Beach Hotel on the weekend of 14th - 15th February as the apartment we usually stay in was fully booked. The service was good, which surprised me after reading comments about rude staff - the two members of staff we encountered were both friendly and helpful, and came and sorted out an issue fairly quickly when... Walked into reception to be assigned to our room and there was already a couple asking for a refund. Not a good start!!!! Our bed sheets were stained and the room was full of mould, we asked to be moved rooms which they agreed to! After viewing another four that there where in a worse standard we asked for a... More

The whole place is filthy and falling apart. Breakfast is served between 9 & 10 but probably cooked at 8 - cold and revolting. It should be condemned. Look up hovel in the dictionary and you will see a picture of the golden beach aka grand beach hotel.

Having seen the reviews after we made our booking, we arrived with trepidation. After all, it couldn't be all bad - could it? OH MY GOD, you have to experience it to believe it! Reception is dimly lit (in blue) making it very difficult to see anything at night. The corridor to the room had no working lights so we... More

Do not book here. Whole place unclean, carpets not hoovered, bathrooms falling apart, mould and wallpaper falling off of the ceiling in the room we were offered, no space, no curtain on one of the windows etc, etc, etc. The bar wasn't open until 8, which is rubbish for a family with young kids. We were offered a change of... More
