First of all the pluses; Food was quite good and served hot. Entertainment, bearing in mind it was all included, was very good. Bar Lounge and TV Lounge well decorated and welcoming. Minuses; Restaurant service was abysmal. Waiter did not bother asking if we wanted tea or coffee with breakfast (which is usual) Toast was not provided until we requested... more

Went on 5 day coach holiday. Warm welcome, Vivien came on to coach. Although limited choice, meals excellent, well presented, well cooked, & Bob, our waiter was superb, nothing too much trouble. All staff very friendly, even the chambermaids! Room cleaned every day & clean towels as needed. Whole hotel could really do with an update, especially the shower room.... more

Vivien, Martin and all the staff were very friendly and helpful but I found the room to be very dated. The rooms were cleaned daily but the bedding was never changed. The shower was average but the hairdryer looked like something from the 60's. The decor needed updated with torn wallpaper and holes in the roof lining. more

At the end of the day - for the price of their rooms, you get good quality. Hotel is very clean, no issues with cleanliness - although the hotel in my opinion needs updating. Service is excellent at the hotel, all staff very friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. The hotel is about an 1 hour by tram into... more

The owner, Mr Steel is a rude old man. He is apparently a dr but I wouldn't trust him with my life. When I spoke to one of the staff members they said that the food was make with expired produce!! more

Right from the start Vivien made our group feel welcomed. The staff, food and entertainment were all first class. Martin's quizz night was the highlight of our holiday. Before our group left Blackpool they were asking if they could come back next year to this hotel - and we will. more

Staff were very helpful rooms were cleaned every day! Martin even allowed me access to his wi-fi connection A+ for that one! Great all round entertainment Will go again. more

Food was very good, waiter Bob was excellent. Not everyone was very happy as the heating was over bearing, not only in the hotel main reception rooms but also in the bedroom which was like the "gobi desert" with no air,and a little window that was very hard to open. The weather was mild but wet. Did not use the shower as it... more

Having stayed here for 1 night only (in hindsight this was quite enough) as we had been double booked at our usual venue I was extremely disappointed in the level of cleanliness in this hotel. The carpets in our rooms were filthy, the beds had small hairs and dirty stains on them, the showers were so dirty we didn't dare... more

Me and family have just come back from a long weekend at this hotel. Had a great time, really friendly people. Rooms were spotless and really enjoyed the food - which we thought was really cheap for the quality and choice. Live evening entertainment + bingo was on when we were there, which everyone enjoyed, including our young daughter (9).... more
