We recently stayed at the Amethyst Hotel with our 11 yr old daughter and her friend have decided to book on the strength of other Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The property is immaculately clean, rooms and bathrooms are fresh and spotless, bedding is in very good condition and beds were comfortable. The room (Rm 8 - the double... more

Fantastic stay with John, Pearl and of course the lovely Molly the poodle, our daughter has a friend for life! From the minute we arrived our hosts made us feel perfectly at home and did nothing but add to the pleasure of our trip to Blackpool. Good central location set back behind the Central Pier, about a 5-10 minute walk... more

I despair when B&B's such as this can advertise 4 star ratings when it should be 1 or 2. The only resemblance to 4 stars was the price charged. Host was intrusive and demanded adult price for a 14 year lad. Breakfast was poor, except the cereal. Should have went to the Hilton-same price. more
