The Calypso is a nice hotel in an ideal location, it has a lovely bar and dining area and the staff are brilliant, they take a genuine interest in their customers and are bubbly and fun! They also work very hard. The food is brilliant along with the dining service. However, the hotel is quite dated and the rooms are... More

I have just returned from a 4 night stay with my 2 children. We were welcomed by the manager and checked in. We were on the third floor which seems never ending with steep stairs especially with heavy suitcases. My first impression of the room was it was ok- then I sat on the double bed and the mattress was... More

I stayed at the Calyso Hotel, for the third consecutive year, in Blackpool last weekend (Friday till Monday) to go to the Darts at Blackpoo's Winter Gardens. It was £100 for 3 nights bed and breakfast in a single room with ensuite & coffee & tea making facilities. The hotel is clean (decor a bit dated but clean) and very... More

I recently returned for a second stay with Andy at the Calypso with my Under 15's rugby team for a bank holiday weekend tour. We were made most welcome for the whole weekend, nothing was too much trouble, schedules are often flexible, both meal times and entertainment were flexed with ease to suit both parties. I cannot fault Andy's personal... More
