Stopped for 10 years on the trot, atmosphere great,, very vibrant, great mixture of ages then started to have bus trips staying which altered the reputation of the hotel. Instead of being very entertaining and friendly, it became very quiet and library like. I dont have any problems with older people, and can understand why in this economic climate why you do... more

Stayed here for the rebellion festival. On arrival they told us they had let our rooms out so we had to stay at their sister hotel directly behind (The Georgian). Then had to wait until half past 4 as rooms were not ready. Rooms were filthy and small. The breakfast you wouldnt feed to a pet rat. But the best... more

this is one hotel that i would not recommend to anyone. The rooms were very basic, tea and coffee provided no milk or spoon to stir it. The noise from the lounge was absolutly outrageous and when i complained it was turned down slightly but still vibrated into the room. We only stayed the one night as we couldnt face another disturbed... more

Stayed on a saturday night, didnt manage to get any sleep at all because of the noise. We were in room number 2 which is next to 3 access doors on the ground floor and close to the bar. It was 5.30 am before the noise of revellers who were obviously on hen and stag nights subsided, dooors continually opening, closing... more
