We offer warm, friendly and cordial guest accommodation. With rooms containing, full central heating, digital TV in all bedrooms, free internet access in the bar. We provide guests with a hearty, traditional full English breakfast. We also cater for families, groups both large and small and up to 28 person coach parties. We have a strict non-smoking policy within our hotel. Coupling excellent food with swift service, it is little wonder we have been awarded a 3* and BAGS award! Situated within a few minutes walk from the town centre, sea front, theatre and clubs. Nearby the lake-district offers a stark contrast to Blackpool's attractions in the shape of beautiful countryside and stunning landscapes. more » « less

I recently stayed at tthe Derwent with 6 friends on my Hen weekend. We arrived and checked in, was told all the informaion we needed including where to park. I dont think many b & b's have parking, but the car park was a only short walk away and car was fine for the weekend. The gentleman was very friendly... more

It took us ages to find a hotel in Blackpool because there are so many. We settled on The Derwent purely because of the reviews on tripadvisor.com.There were 5 of us going including 2 kids and we even managed to book a 5 bed family room with en-suite and a separate w.c.We were not dissapointed...the owner welcomed us warmly and... more

What a gem! Fantastic Place. Booked via their website, we were not disappointed: all our high expectations were met. The bar was open on demand, and we demanded quite a bit. The guys who run it are very good;'bend over backwards' seems to be their motto. They made every effort to make us feel at home. The food was good,... more

My husband and I and our two friends had a great two night stay this Bank Holiday weekend. The rooms were small but perfectly decorated and clean. Tea making facilities and a hairdryer. The bathroom was clean although the shower could have had more power as mentioned in previous reviews. The two gentlemen were very helpful and friendly. The bar... more

Well, my wife and myself visited the Derwent last December shortly after our wedding. We both love Blackpool so were so looking forward to a lovely romantic break away. There was a friendly atmosphere, the place is run by two gentlemen who we found to be polite to a fault. When we got to our room which was 3 flights... more

My sister and I took our four kids to Blackpool and stayed here for a couple of nights. The hotel is quite small, but perfect. The two guys who run it go out of their way to help you with anything. There isn't parking at the hotel and the on-street parking only allows for an hour, but the guys managed... more

We took another couple away for the weekend , so were paying for two double rooms, and hence wanted to keep the budget to £50 per room. Looking on the net a number of Blackpool hotels would fit into this budget but many looked a little 'seedy'. The Derwent looked smarter so we went for this at £42 per room.... more
