I went with my mum and dad and the children. We loved it from the first minute we arrived. Because we only paid £15 a night we didn't expect to get en-suite or breakfast. It rained quite a lot, but it was nice and warm when we got back to the hotel because it had central heating, The people were... more

I was recommended to stay by friends of mine who go regularly every year.We went with my children and grand-children for a 4 day stay at this Guesthouse. We had read some bad reviews about it, on this site, but had also read some excellent ones from other sites, and had glowing recommendations from opur friends, so we didn't really... more

I had booked this B&B before reading the reviews on here, which left me a little worried. Upon arriving, I could see that the reviews were way off the mark. A lot of reviews had said the hotel was not clean and the owners not friendly or helpful. This couldnt be further from the truth. We went as a small... more

Stayed at this hotel with a group of my friends and had a really great time. The owners are the most sociable couple and really went of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We had travelled a long way and were very nicley surprised to be asked if we would like a drink of tea or coffee on... more

I have stopped at this hotel now over a period of 5 years regularly and have seen the non on suite bedrooms become en suit. Having experienced this place with hen nights, romantic breaks and now a family outing I can say the owners are freindly approachable, and VERY welcoming. The Hotel was clean and breakfast was spot on and... more

We have just returned from our stay at the Granville in Palatine Rd and i cant get rid of the smell of wet dog. The hotel was an absolute disgrace, the room was dog hair infested, the shower was covered in green mould, the bar didnt open once when i was there, the breakfast was terrible and served with mouldy toast,... more

These people arrived in a bad temper because we did not answer the door straight away, because we were upstairs cleaning. By the time we got downstairs they were telephoning our mobile, and ringing the doorbell, inspite of the fact that we do have a sign on the front door which tells guests that we may take a little time...

I stayed in this hotel in July. I had just made a long journey from ireland and wanted to relax. It was a terrible experience. It was filthy and there was an awful smell every time you walked into the lounge! There was dogs hairs all over the sofas and in the rooms. The springs were digging out of the... more

These two Irish couples arrived together. On their first night the husband of one of the couples was down in the bar dringking and having a laugh and joke with the owners' partner. Everyone seemed happy. The first sign that it wasn't,was when we heard a row going on because the husband had been down drinking in the bar and...
