Beautiful sea view and close to trams and North Pier. Positives end there sadly. It was a tiny room for a big old hotel and barely room to erect the travel cot let alone move around with the pram in the room. Room was on the surface ok for cleanliness but windows full of flies dead and alive and dirt.... More

I read many reviews on Tripadvisor before deciding to 'take the chance'! Would describe our room as well worn and a bit of a blast from the past however very spacious with a great sea view. We have 2 small children who are both relaxed and happy here. Staff have been friendly and helpful. The hotel is certainly nothing fancy... More

Satyed over night and I can't complain about the room we were given Ground floor. It was really clean throughout, bed was fine, bathroom was decent, Towels were clean. One grumble was the bins being put out at 7-7.30am outside the window, but they are doing the job I was awake, but they were a bit noisy. Car Park is... More

Rude sarcastic reception staff. Slow working lifts Out of date decor Grubby carpets and skirting boards Bathroom was discussing and dirty Windows were rotten with broken handles Breakfast was a grotesque experience. Tea and coffee offered when we were about to leave. This lovely old building could be so much more nicer. It needs a lot of investment.

We choose to stay here as we have stayed several times before and enjoyed it. Well to say the bed was like a brick would be kind. Broken hook on back of bathroom door too. Very disappointed in the breakfast as before we have really enjoyed it. The quality of breakfast had fallen. Orange juice seemed to have been watered... More
