Stayed hear last night, paid £85 for a double room, nightmare, room tiny no soap no bath towels nothing, bar horrible, still in the 1970s, breakfast cold, the cook going on about her swine flu to another table, arrived at night then saw it this morning how they can charge such fees for a terrible hotel, never again more

It was a disaster from the start, I had to wait out on the street on arriving at the hotel, as the doors were locked & no staff were around to help me for at least 30 minutes. I had the same problem when it came to checking out, I had to wait 20 minutes for a member of staff... more

My stay at the Waldorf was very pleasant and I enjoyed every minute of it. The staff particularly the owners were very friendly and could not do enough to help. The rooms were clean and the facilities were good. If you leave the dining room feeling hungy you only have yourself to blame. Good base to easily reach all attractions.... more

When booking a hotel I always consult TRIPADVISOR and probably, like most of you, I am sometimes confused by the conflicting reviews I see on some hotels; some love the place, some absolutely detest it. Expected a hotel but got a very bad glorified bed & breakfast if you could call it that. Doors are locked so you cant get in, theres nobody on reception, or to answer the phone they are very unprofessional. The rooms seem okay at first glance but mine No.105 was freezing cold and the bed was damp. As I have... more
