Should have taken notice of the sarky comments the manager gave to Tipadvisor-reviews he didn't like. Whilst good reviews receives pats on the back, the ones writing the not-so-good get excuses and even rude comments ("You, the guest, bring the bed-bugs"). Booking.com had so much nice to say about the hotel, so I chose to ignore the bad reviews, thinking... more

I stayed here at the end of June for the weekend with my mum. We found the hotel easily and there was plenty of parking spaces at the front. As we'd arrived extremely early to check in I went inside and asked if we could park in the car park and check in later. We were met by Adrian who... more

we have just come home from the hotel, it was great some days and others weren"t so good: such as the day we arrived we were put into a room that was so small that we couldnt even turn the baby buggy round or even get out the door, went down and asked for a bigger room and was pleased... more

We have stayed at this hotel for the last six years, often as three times a year. We have always found the hotel staff to be very friendly. You are treated like a member of the family. Bedrooms are clean and the food great. Choice of breakfast is excellent and as for evening dinner, wow, we don't know how the... more

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and cannot fault the service. I am disabled and use crutches and the management bent over backwards to help. Everything was good though the entertainment was not as good as it could have been but overall an excellent hotel and highly recommended. The food was superb drinks in the bar were reasonably... more

I booked this holiday online. when we arrived the room was ok, but not brilliant There was no heating in the room on the first night. This caused me concern as it was a cold night. The lift was in a terrible condition and I thought it was going to break down. the bedroom was also filled with dust. The... more

I apologise that the guests did not enjoy their stay at the Hotel. The lift is not in a terrible condition and is serviced monthly, as the hotel is a Victorian Building we are limited to the size and type. A gated lift is the most suitable model for the building; also the lift has never broken down while in...

Arrived on Monday. On Tuesday evening we had to make the beds as no room sevice had been done. Very cramped conditions in the dining room, a table 29.5 inches square for 4 people, resulted in the toast rack having to be placed on top of the coffee pots at breakfast and the vegtable dishes on top of each other... more

We apologise that the guests did not enjoy their stay at the Hotel. Unfortunately the bedroom cleaners can not service a bedroom if a guest decides to stay in their room all day, (Guests can do this, but the normal day to day housekeeping can not take place if a guest chooses to stay in) I have spoken to the...

It is disappointing when a guest such as this enjoys the food service and at least on of the rooms, she stayed in. Bed Bugs unfortunately are on the increase in all hotels in England and throughout the world. The Hotel does not order them in especially to annoy the guest. They are brought in BY THE GUEST! We take...
