My husband and i stayed for two nights in the Queens , yes the hotel is looking dated , but the room was clean and we had a lovely sea view , the staff at all times were friendly and helpful and when we checked in early , the room was given to us straight away , the entertainment on... More

The hotel has just changed hands and rumours about the future are rife. One thing is certain the new owners have put up the bar prices and seem to have lost a chef as the food was very disappointing. More

The hotel changed hands some three months ago. The Head Chef is still the same but the menus have been improved and a considerable amount of investment has already been put into the hotel including the replacement of the beds. The installation of kitchen equipment which will enable us to improve the quality of the food and service is partially... More

Poor quality food, restaurant staff un-pleasant. very tired rooms, toilet smells through some corridors. Manager un-available when needed. Bread buns removed from your table will be recycled for the next customer! Food is not cooked to order as once your order was placed it was on your table within a minute or so. Upon complaining at reception, I was told... More

Dear Net W I have noted your review and would refer to my response to your friends below (Bernie R.) Bread rolls are not removed from one table and served to other guests. Any uneaten rolls are discarded in the kitchen waste bins. The vegetarian options, which you initially ordered are all prepared to order as is the fish. The... More

7 of us booked for a meal, starter of mandarin and kiwi cocktail was dried up, chicken dish was awful, cheese was dried up because it had been exposed to the air too long, chocolate pudding was cold, head waiters attitude was appualing and he thought it was o/k to scrape plates behind you as you sat at the table,... I was concerned to read of your disappointment with the quality of some of the evening meal ordered because we usually receive compliments about the meals and service at all of the 20 Leisureplex Hotels and for £14 the evening meals are considered excellent value for money. I would like to advise that on the evening of your stay the... More

The rooms were dirty and unkept but my main gripe is the staff, especially the manager Alex. I had a complaint on the first night about the way a member of staff spoke to me and I went to Alex to complain. It seemed to me that he wasn't interested in listening to me and because I have a sensory... More

I cannot accept that the rooms were dirty and unkempt. We agree that many need refurbishment and we plan to do this over the next five years (27 per year). The staff, in particular the Manager, Alex, are all very helpful and generally go out of their way to accommodate guests’ needs. Your booking was made through a booking website... More

The hotel was not our choice as it was an organised event to celebrate an Aunt and Uncles Golden Wedding. Very good location situated between the Pleasure Beach and the Tower with an easy walk to both. We found the rooms to be somewhat dated and in need of refurbishment and we believe it is just under new management who... More

I had stayed in the Queens a couple of times before. It is in a convenient location, near to the South Pier and Pleasure Beach. The room was clean, breakfast good. Enjoyed the swimming pool. All needs updating, very 70's. Would stay there again. A tad too expensive at £80 per room per night. The heating pipes kept knocking in... More

Since taking over this hotel, we have introduced new menus. As with all changes there will be a few teething problems until the chefs get used to them. We serve exactly the same menus in all of the other 19 hotels in the Leisureplex group and the average score for Food Quality in the entire group is 86%. Considering Very... More
