Me and my Family came to this Hotel in October, on our arrival we had no problem parking our cars, the welcome was warm and friendly and we were explained the breakfast times and Bar opening times etc. we were then guided to our bedrooms, which were lovely decorated and spacious enough for our needs. The bar and sun lounge... More

We recently stayed here as 3 couples. The greeting on arrival was barely existent probably due to the fact that we arrived a bit earlier than expected. Our money was taken and we were just given keys - not shown to our respective rooms. I think we drew the short straw in the room stakes. Paper coming away from the... More

We don’t think Valerie that you stayed at the Rockcliffe Hotel in Blackpool. We never had anyone stay from St Albans in October 2014. We are a 3 star Visit Britain Guest Accommodation, and on the last overnight inspection by a qualified assessor we were awarded top marks in the 3 star grading. Bordering on 4 stars. You do not... It just goes to prove that our service, hospitality and quality is of a high standard. We do agree with your comment "I think people spend too much time looking for fault instead of enjoying themselves... More

We thought the hotel was well positioned, being a little further up from the north pier and on the the sea front. It is clean with a nice bar and a comfy lounge sweet providing good views of folk dashing past narrowly scratching your car with their bags as they go. There is room for 4 vehicles, you may or may not be... More

Only stayed here a couple of days and it is amongst my favourite if Blackpool hotels (and I have stayed in a few) upon arrival my son and I were greeted in a friendly manner by the landlord who allowed us to check in a lot earlier than the 3pm stated which was nice of him, we had got the... More

We recently stayed here as a family. The good points about this hotel are the location , the cleanliness, the free car park and the sea views from the front facing rooms. I dont want to be too critical as this certainly was not the worst hotel I have stayed at but I always judge hotels if I asked myself would... More

Hotel is very clean, with friendly staff and good bar area. Room was a bit on the small side with a very small shower, sink and toilet cubicle. Bed was uncomfortable with noisy springs. Breakfast was very nice but did not like the signs all over the entrance asking that we tip the waitress, Sorry but when we went for... More

Having read through previous reviews of the hotel on here I can see that the owner does not take criticism well. I would just like to say that my review is totally honest according to our experience. We visited in early September. My family arrived first to check in, & they found the owner to be very rude. He offered... More

Thought John Cleese was retired, but lo and behold he is alive and still grumpy and living at the Rockcliffe Hotel! The welcome was non-existent. All he was interested in was taking our money. He didnt make an effort to show us to our rooms or assist with luggage. However, rooms were clean and bed linen too. Considering he has... More
