The Imperial Hotel is a historic old place from the age of Queen Victoria; the restaurant, the pub, the halls and the building all look very grand and they were probably very elegant 100 years ago. It all looks nice and welcoming but everything seems a bit faded and out of place in cheap and run-down Blackpool. My room was... More

We stayed at this hotel at the end of may. It was a last minute booking for the bank holiday and tbf it wasn't worth the money I paid but that's what you get a last minute booking on a bank holiday. It was clean and tidy but very dated. The room was ok apart from the damp patch on... More

Having been regular visitors to the Imperial had a break for a couple of years due to health reasons. However spent a weekend there in June and loved it all over again. On arriving realised the hotel was busy and was told that there was a world pool tournament being held for the following two weeks. That conjoured up all... More

Booked here because we were told it was the best hotel in Blackpool. Food pretty good and staff delightful. They obviously are trying to bring the hotel up to scratch, but too much of it still needs work. Churchill stayed here during the War and he'd probably still recognise parts of it if he came back. Charging guests to park... More

Spent a weekend here recently. Yes, it's a bit careworn and the beds aren't the comfiest but all was forgiven at dinner. Amazing food, beautifully presented, staffed by the loveliest people and delicious to eat.

Dear Nellie33, It is a shame to read that your recent stay with us was not to your liking on this occasion. I have noted your comments about the presentation of food in the Restaurant. I do hope that the team responded appropriately when you mentioned your disappointment to them. We get so many lovely comments about our food quality,... More

We stayed here for 1 night during a birthday trip to Blackpool. £99 for 2 people, double room, three course meal and a bottle of wine. A great deal and well worth the money. Our room was awful, there was one stained glass window which when opened looked out onto scaffolding. The room was tiny and I felt really claustrophobic.... More

Dear bobbycat_10, Thank you for your feedback and I am pleased that overall, you did enjoy your stay with us and you enjoyed dinner in the evening. I am pleased that the team quickly resolved the issue with your first room and I do apologies for the incident with the pigeon and I can assure you that this was certainly... More

Loved the Imperial. Only stayed one night but found it really special and I sincerely hope it doesn't modernise and lose its character. We felt like we'd gone back in time to the 1920s. Breakfast was great. Only disappointment was having to pay for parking on the hotel grounds.

Dear Moonshines, Many of our guests love the hotels character and charm and I am pleased that you also did enjoy this. You will also be pleased to know that we are currently refurbishing many parts of the hotel, but this will still be in-keeping with the age of the building. Car parking is quite limited in Blackpool and the... More

Steeped in history, this lovely hotel is crying out for refurbishment. Can not fault the service or staff, always there to help. However service if ordering food in the bar is rather slow, be prepared to wait half an hour for a simple meal . Breakfast is good , meals a little on pricey side. Location excellent.

Dear BirminghamHoney, You will be pleased to read that the hotel is about to embark on a multi-million pound refurbishment programme, it’s such an exciting time for this Grand Old Lady! Thank you for the comments about the team; they are always pleased to receive feedback and to learn that the guests always have a fantastic stay. I look forward... More

Stunning hotel, great staff, and lovely breakfast. Just a shame it is in Blackpool really! But then, if you are going to go to Blackpool, you might as well stay somewhere nice! The spa facilities were lovely, clean and spacious.
