Recommend this hotel but certainly not for us. Stayed for 2 nights 16th and 17th April. The room I must say was ok quiet a good size and comfortable clean bed, bathroom was a little dated but fine with plenty if hot water. The heating was on all the time so windows had to be left open as it did... More

We were moved here from our original booking at the Metropole, omg!!! Step back 50 years in time, last time hotel cleaned properly, I think! Hated everything about the hotel, dirty, outdated, very, very smelly, labyrinth of corridors to negotiate to actually find your room. 45 minute wait at reception to book in, really felt sorry for staff who couldn't... I have stayed in this hotel for the past 2 Easters and have been pleasantly surprised. I am used to Premier Inns so am quite demanding. The hotel is huge. The staff are very polite and cooperative but do have to deal with many un reasonable guests trying to get their rooms for cheaper than advertised. The staff in the... More

Stayed here for 1 night over Easter. First impressions were poor: tired, dated and in not very clean. Check in took ages and reminded me of checking in at Pontins many years ago. Room was small but actually not bad = at least it was clean. Breakfast was pretty good but there was no organisation: just a huge 'mob' of... More

We supported a local business and used their Coffee Shop on a Bank Holiday Monday afternoon; the area was shabby, the Customer Service terrible, the drinks expensive, the coffee tasted & looked like dishwater, the seating area uncomfortable and the front of the hotel was covered in litter.......My advice? Go somewhere else.

I booked this hotel last minute Easter 2014!! What a huge disappointment. Firstly on arrival, check in took forever. The staff behind reception very slow. There was a really bad smell running through the hotel and hit you as soon as you entered. Finally checked in and the room was very shabby, dated and not clean. The hover had certainly... More
