On arrival at The Savoy Hotel we were very disappointed to find how little car parking this hotel had, ended up paying £7.50 for 18 hours next door. The Hotel itself looks the business from the outside, the reception area looks as you would expect but when we got to our room we were shocked. The room was quite big... More

We booked a room with the bathroom suitable for my disabled friend. When we arrived we had a sea view. We would have appreciated the view more if the windows had been clean. There was masking tape round the windows which one we could not open and the curtains were wripped! The room and bed was clean. We would not... More

The biggest trouble with this hotel is the name, forget swish hotels in Mayfair and Kensington, this is a tired building in a rundown seaside town. The main reception areas are smart in a faded grandure sort of way but the rooms are a little tatty, for the money though they represent good value. We found the staff friendly and... More

On arrival we viewed the rooms (our daughter's adjoining single room) the floor was very dirty. We have stayed in many places but just could not believe the grubbiness of our rooms. There were used tissues lying in the windows of both of the rooms and in the bathroom there were pubic hairs in the bath!!!! I asked could the... More

Yes rooms are tired ,and have had the edge knocked off,but you have to take into account ...what you pay, your buffet breakfast is easy worth a tenner, and your evening meal is easy worth fifteen pounds ,which was great, every night ,first night we had a bottle of good wine included in the price so really ,you are getting the room... We have just returned from this hotel. We only paid £69 for two of us for one night with dinner, breakfast and bottle of wine (deal). Wouldn't like to have paid full price. Receptionist very pleasant and most of the waiters/waitressess were. However head waitress had no manners when clearing cutlery from table or serving food (reaching over my plate... More
