We were treated very nicely by all the staff we came into contact with - but that's about the only good thing! We paid £28 (including breakfast) so weren't expecting much but were still slightly disappointed. The hotel is a way out of Blackpool, but it only took us 30 mins to get to the tower and we enjoyed the... More

Thank you to the nice lady on reception for the room upgrade from single to double. That is the only comment that is positive. I like the midland group the rooms are cheap and cheerful, tired but ok. This place is filthy absolutely filthy. There's varying degrees of damp, poor decoration and mould. On top of that I had no... More

Stayed a couple of nights in November 2014 with a friend. We didn't expect luxury for the price...but cleanliness and warmth would have been nice. We had booked a non smoking room and were sent up to find our room...which was a smoking permitted room. The furnishings and room stunk like a stale old ashtray and we asked to be... More

Stayed here Friday 6 to Sunday 8 Feb traveling with a coach party of friends. Check in was quick and easy but the queue for the one small lift was a pain , but we were on the second floor so used the stairs. The room had been refurbished so was comfortable and clean and overlooked the sea and Gynn... More

I attended a reunion night with some old friends, so ended up booking the Savoy on the morning of the reunion. As I wasn't going to be spending much time there I didn't intend on paying too much, so we booked the Savoy as it was the best deal (£38 for a family room) The hotel is on North shore,... More

Right - I have stayed at better hotels - The Imperial, Tokyo, springs to mind, and the Koryu in Pyong Yang. And I have stayed in worse - many, many times.( The Santa Elena in Panajachel, where one found the previous occupants cigs underneath the pillow and there was no running water, and a hotel by Lake Como where the beds...
