Well, I had booked the hotel after seeing the photos on the internet. I talked to the manager, the price seemed reasonable as i had booked two twin rooms for two nights. I had read the reviews only one day before travelling to blackpool. Upon our arrival, we checked the rooms before checking in. They were ok to some extent.... more

At arriving at the hotel we were greeted by the friendly owner. He showed us our room and the first thing I did was check the bedding. It was clean, crisp white sheets. The towels in the en suite were also clean. What more could you ask for. The room had a telly and when you've got little kids that... more

I booked 2 double rooms at this hotel without reading the reviews like most people and was horrified afterwards however due to the clause on the website i knew i would be unable to get my £80 deposit back. I did not tell my friends about the reviews as I felt so bad and it had been my insistence that... more

I booked this hotel after searching lots of hotels and could not find somewhere that could offer 2 family rooms for a one night stay. I was booking on behalf of 2 families so felt a little under pressure. I booked the hotel and then read the reviews!! Talk about panic; everyone painted a picture of a nightmare of a... more

9 of us went to Blackpool and unfortunately we stayed here. FAULTY TOWERS - it was absolutly awful. Only one member of staff who did not speak good English. Writing our names on scraps of paper as a register. Rooms were very smelly and not clean, the windows did not shut, and were rusty and the wood was falling off.... more

This is a bit long winded, but you must read this review if you are considering staying in the Sherwood Hotel, because you shouldnt. My partner & I had gone to Blackpool to celebrate her 21st Birthday on 1/10/07. I had looked at a lot of different hotels but due to the Conservative Party Conference being held at Blackpool on... more

One of the worst B&B's we've stayed in. Booked a family room which was very small, very dirty and very smelly. Kettle worked but the spout was smashed. The ceiling was covered in cobwebs and the walls were filthy. The net curtains hadn't been washed in ages and the bathroom smelt disgusting. The mattress on the bed was bigger than... more

Booked on the internet for this b& b in November for a stay over new years eve.... (everywhere else was booked up) Booked the hotel before I read the reviews...!! So I was prepared for the worst. Arrived on the 31st Dec in GALE force winds! One of the signs that said 'Sherwood' had partly dissapeared assuming the wind had... more

My girlfriend booked two rooms for ourselves and two friends for a midweek journalistic work trip to Blackpool. Staying in town for one night, with no desire to stay in our hotel for more than our sleeping hours, we budgeted ourselves to £50 per room maximum. The available rooms at the Sherwood were booked without a second thought, as £45... more
