Our party have recently returned from a stay at the Royal Carlton Hotel. When we arrived the hotel foyer looks inviting and modern however the bedrooms tell a different story. They are very tired and in a state of poor repair. The food and entertainment is excellent . The staff overall are good although the lady manager was very rude... more

We had no heating in the room for two days and no hot water for one. Room was tiny and tatty and food was ok but quite small... more

Booking system did not ask for a deposit but I was phoned later to get £25 per head deposit. Not a problem but would have been better if the booking system had advised that would be the case. Arrival OK, entrance hall and public areas in good condition, reservation was in order. Bedroom was ok but a bit cramped and... more

When we stayed at the Royal Carlton - we found the service to be fantastic - the food was excellent and the service was beyond what anyone would expect. Above all - was the excellent welcome on arrival - with an efficient reservations team - who had no problem whatsoever in taking, allocating, and making us feel like we were... more
