I was booked into the Heron's Reach by my company's hotel booking service as an alternative to the Hilton - Thank God they did! This place is very different - maybe not as new and shiny, but with a whole lot more class and substance. The entrance is very country manor-ish and the rooms are quite homely, if slightly dated... more

Ihave stayed at Herons Reach many times when visiting Blackpool on business. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is good, room service is efficient, it can be noisy in the holiday period with noisy small children more

I stayed at the Herons' Reach for the weekend as it was handy for the hospital and I was in Blackpool to visit a sick relative. I had already rung the hotel to advise them that I was going to be arriving very late and that I was now coming alone, (a friend pulled out at the last minute). On... more

I can recommend anyone to visit the DeVere Heron Reach Hotel in Blackpool, which is a superb quality hotel with good value. The Hotel is based in a great setting and it's own lands and gardens with first class parking. We used the Hotel as a base to visit The Lake District and the Flylde Coast, it was like come... more

The hotel was selected for a conference from Monday to Thursday and included a conference room and overnight acommodation... except that on Monday the Hotel decided they were overbooked and we would have to move out on Tuesday morning. Delegates were moved to THREE separate locations within Blackpool with taxi fares covered to return to the venue daily. It prevented... more

In my opinion, Herons Reach is average, in comparison with similar hotels. We stayed for one night -DBB plus golf. Dinner in the Brasserie was good but breakfast was disappointing. There was plenty of choice, but the cooked breakfast was not good quality. The pool area was ok, with sauna and steam room. Our bedroom was average but the bathroom... more

The room is ok, not great considering it's a superior, but more than comfortable. The wine we were supposed to have on arrival wasn't in our room but was brought up promptly when asked for, but be warned..it's no vintage. The 3 course dinner which was inclusive was very nice and quite a suprise actually. Breakfast was equally as nice... more

On the third day of our visit to Heron's Reach and so far, so good. Room available on arrival and the standard of the Superior room on the fourth floor overlooking the 19th hole was good. We are not golfers and are using the hotel as a base to visit one or two places of interest in the area. Comfortable... more

Calling this a De Vere is pushing it a touch. If you were paying 50-60 quid for a night then fair enough, but charging over a hundred is taking the mickey. The outside is Ok, the pool area is nice enough. Communal areas and the bar are pretty average. The rooms are tired and dated, at no time do you... more
