Another wonderful stay at the Meland. Hosts are warm, friendly & now like part of the family. Delicious cooked breakfast with nothing being too much trouble. Upgrades from last year with the decor in both the public areas & en suits (not that it needed it). Looking forward to booking again next year. Can't recommend it enough.

We came away as an extended family of 7 children and 6 adults and The Meland was everything we needed. From the great knowledgable friendly hosts, cleanliness throughout, nice family bedrooms through to the perfect breakfasts to start each day. Nice quiet (yet central) location too, we'd stay again!

Everything we could have asked for, from a great b and b. Friendly faily very homely. Lovely dog. The rooms clean and well presented children loved the bathroom floor. The bar does close early 10pm but this good as it is a family place no drunks. See you next year.

Myself, my partner and kids (ages 8 & 11) had a lovely overnight stay at the Meland when we came to Blackpool to see the illuminations. We were made to feel very welcome by Richard, Joanne, their daughters and not forgetting their doggy. The room was big enough to accommodate us for the night - the only downside was the... More

The Meland hotel, a very close location to Blackpool’s sea front, a spar and 24 hour parking for just £9.00 (With some fantastic art also) literally 30 seconds away. We stayed here 6 September 2014 and was welcomed by the original sun trap garden and added waterfall (The water was getting a service) all was restored very quickly and an... More

On way back from wales and stopped over in blackpool with my wife and 3 children. Stayed in big family room with big bathroom. Really clean, and homely. . Love the fact the bar closed at 10 so, no rowdy guests . Jo and richard are really nice and helpful and made us feel at ease with our noisy children.... More

Dear Peter, it was lovely having you all here and even nicer to see a 'returning family!' As a regular visitor to Blackpool, you told us you had stayed in many B&B's over the years, both with your family, on your own and with friends, and it was nice to hear we compare favourably. Thank you for your kind words,... More

Me, my partner, and our three sons stayed in meland for two nights. On arriving we was greated by the friendly couple, shown into the dinning lounge asked to pay then shown to the room. First impressions of the room was a bit disappointing, the decor was dated and effortless, and a bit on the gubby side when you looked... More

Thank you for your review, it is always interesting to hear from people who have never been to Blackpool, as they tend to look for entirely different things than regular visitors. You and your partner were doubly interesting as you had never stayed in a B&B before, which is in atmosphere and general 'experience' very different from staying in a... More

Stayed here with my daughter and 3 grandchildren in the room with double, single and bunk beds for 3 nights. The room was clean and comfortable, I needed to ask for extra pillows but these were provided with no problems. Breakfast was delicious and we all were made to feel very welcome by Joanne and Richard. Will definitely be back.

Dear Susan, it was lovely having you here with your daughter and grandchildren, and we are so glad you all had a great time, especially as you both work in 4* hotels and told us you were used to a certain standard ;-) We hope to see you all back sometime! More

We had a lovely welcome, we only paid £130 for 2 adults and 3 children for 2 nights so everything was fine as far as I was concerned. It was close to parking and a very short walk to the tower and sea front many thanks for a lovely stay
