We stay in the hotel for Valentine's Day, the lift light didn't work the room was small and dirty, in the evening drug dealers came into the bar helped themselfs to what ever they wanted the manager to drunk to do anything so my partner told him to close it down and he took charge, then the manager goes upstairs... Booked for 7 of us, 3 rooms. Luckily we was all put next to each other. Didn't arrive till 9pm at night so ended up having the manager of the hotel calling me wondering what time we'd arrive which I felt comforting. I stayed here for the weekend and i realy enjoyed it it was close to every where the owner was very helpfull the staff was plesent and the food was great the rooms was nice but a bit out ove date the beds were cumfy. I would defo come bk again.

We visited with my 9 year old son for a Friday to Saturday stay. The hotel was clean and warm. The decor was a bit dated but didn't affect our stay. Very bad first impressions greeted with a grumpy owner, sat smoking outside didn't know what room to give us - wish he hadn't bothered. Smoking allowed in bedrooms so they still stink of smoke so do your clothes and bags. Stayed 1 night but wish sat nav didn't find the place. We had a family room, stayed 3 nights during school holidays. The beds and bathroom were clean enough, the carpets and decor was quite run down. The breakfast was lovely and so were the staff. Just got back from the alviston 4 my birthday week, had an amazing time as I always do, the staff are amazing, rooms are clean and basic but very accomadating, breakfast is very good and the hotel is very close to amenities. definatly return again if ull av us dave x

Returned today from blackpool, stayed in the family room in The Alviston, and it was fabulous! Just what we wanted in a brill location, so close to the frnt, bars etc!! Staff very friendly and nothings to much!! If your there for a fun weekend, then I really recommend this. Breakfast was brill as was the rooms!
