Seemed a very down to earth bloke, Knew what we was all there for. Football and a lads... More

We visited with my 9 year old son for a Friday to Saturday stay. The hotel was clean and warm. The decor was a bit dated but didn't affect our stay. Our room was perfectly acceptable with extra bedding and plenty of clean towels. The breakfast was lovely with a cheerful kitchen staff. A good choice of food was on... More

Very bad first impressions greeted with a grumpy owner, sat smoking outside didn't know what room to give us - wish he hadn't bothered. Smoking allowed in bedrooms so they still stink of smoke so do your clothes and bags. Stayed 1 night but wish sat nav didn't find the place. Rooms very basic needs severe updating, biscuit crumps all... More

We had a family room, stayed 3 nights during school holidays. The beds and bathroom were clean enough, the carpets and decor was quite run down. The breakfast was lovely and so were the staff. My issue was the parking. We were offered free parking which is situated at the back of hotel, but were asked to move car to... More

Around 25 of us stayed here last weekend. Rooms were basic but none of us expected anything else. Bar service was excellent. Dave had no problems with keeping the bar open late and serving yourself if he was busy. I missed breakfast both mornings but I heard good things about it. Dave was always up for a laugh as well.... We were a group of 4 girls in town for the weekend. Dave, Julie and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms have everything you need and the location was brilliant. Would definitely recommend and stay again next time I'm in town.
