Stayed Oct 2014, it's been done up--New name Blaclpool Central Hotel. Well I will admit it is basic & comfortable, but as the title states also value..etc. A friend stayed one night & said it was much better than the reviews she had read, but it's recently been done up. Good full English breakfast, reasonable cafe on site 4 other meals... More

Stayed here on a hen night and didn't know where I was staying till I got there. The hotel is attached to a takeaway/ cafe and as soon as we walked in, the smell of grease was unreal. The bedding was clean but the room was old and dirty and not worth £30 a night. The breakfast was ok, but... More

Sadly blackpools reputation of low standards has been given a tremendous boost by this place. We used the cafe.omg. ordered 3 lots of fish and chips the 2 large fish were so vile smelling the waitress jumped back when sh e smelt it. This was then swapped for small size, obviously different type, bland tasteless rubbish. They couldn't tell us... More

Breakfast is adequate which is a full english comprising of bacon, egg, sausage with toms and beans and toast also thrown in with tea or coffee, £10-12 per night depending on season time, Friday / Saturday weekend rates £15 per night. This is cheaper per night than... More

We made the mistake of having lunch at this terrible excuse for a cafe, purchasing the special offer fish and chips. Now I consider 'special offer' to mean you get the normal good products for a lower price because it is on offer, was I wrong...it means they have some really cheap small fish they keep for this specific purpose...
