'The Lakes' wouldn't be lakes without rain! ...so how fine it was to return to each evening to take tea and cakes like your gran used to make, before a pre-dinner wash and brush-up. With only 12 rooms the Hideaway was just the right size to have the personal service of the owners, who have very high standards of hospitality and very welcoming. We went to the Lakes to celebrate husbands birthday and were looking for somewhere to simply chill out and enjoy good food. Decided to go for the Hideaway having read several good reviews on Trip Advisor and were definitely not dissapointed. My wife and I have stayed here twice in the last couple of years, the photos on this site do not do this gem of a hotel any justice, since our last vist the hotel has been refurbished, and looks wonderful. I truly relax when visiting the Lakes, and staying at the Hideaway only adds further to my desired state... more
