I stayed here in early October 2013, and it was very pleasant overall. I booked a single-bed room but ended up with a double-bed room and a private bathroom. The room is was very spacious for one person and very well maintained. The breakfast was simple, yet good. I thanked them for their hospitality.

We had a great stay at Lindisfarne House. Brian and Gillian were very friendly, the room was lovely, the breakfast great and it is in a convenient location to easily walk into Bowness. With a rain washout on Saturday we didn't get to appreciate the great scenery of the area as we would have liked so when we come back... More

We had a wonderful time at Lindisfarne House! The room (en suite double) was lovely - comfortable, spacious and light - and the breakfast was really good quality. If we come back to Windermere we'll definitely stay here again! Thanks so much!

My girlfriend and i stayed at Lindisfarne house in July 2013. We really enjoyed our stay and found the owners to be very friendly. The room was very spacious and clean with a large bathroom 10 minute walk from Windemere train station and a 10 minute walk into bowness We would certainly stay there again.

This was a wonderful guest house, spotless, comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast was tasty and well cooked. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. It was in a ideal situation, walking distance to both Windermere & Bowness, with plenty of choices of resteraunts and bars etc nearby. The perfect place for a short family getaway. We chose this because of the rating we saw on the website. Sadly it has not lived up to its rating. The rooms were clean, but were basic. The bed was comfortable, however, the curtains let in too much light in the morning so we were woken up early. We were told that the breakfast was between 8.30 and 9.... More

We dont know what the customers problem is as we were very welcoming and very friendly as we are always are to all our guests. Our bacon & sausage are from an award winning local butcher in Bowness. This is the first complaint we have had in the past 10 years- usually only compliments about the breakfasts. Our plates are... More
