Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay at the B&B for 3 nights. The hosts were very friendly, approachable, and did their best to attend to our requests. They had good local knowledge and were more than willing to research anything they did not know the answer to. The rooms were very clean and homely. I would say, like...

Vince and I were so pleased to read how much you enjoyed your stay with us, especially since you mentioned to us, that it was your first experience of staying in a B&B. It is hopefully the personal touches and service that our guests appreciate, rather than the sometimes impersonal nature of a hotel stay.
Thanks in advance for any...

A lovely house very handy for the local amenities of Windemere. The room was large, clean and with all the amenities you would expect and more such as a mini bar and flat screen television.
Vince and Shirley Byrne - the owners - are very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic.

It's rare you stay somewhere and it is prettier than the pictures, and better than you had expected. I stayed at Storrs Gate House after walking the Dales Way. I showed up with my trousers knee deep in mud and dead tired. Vince and Shirley treated me so well. My room overlooked the garden and had a lovely sitting area....

The previous reviews cover it all - a perfect and relaxing hotel. It's only a short walk into Bowness either by the lake or road. We liked the pre-order for breakfast and great choice available. Thanks to Vince and Shirley for a lovely stay.
Ps - we ate at The Angel Inn in Bowness, it was very good, booking recommended.

Having read a review which advised us to look no further and just book this hotel, we were really pleased that we did so. The hotel is situated within five minutes walking distance of Lake Windermere and although on a reasonably busy road, it was quiet and relaxing. Our room had a superking size bed with big fluffy pillows and...

Very friendly family-run hotel. Owners/hosts were very welcoming and provided helpful advice on local sights and amenities in the town. Well run and managed hotel. Great breakfast choices, mostly using local produce and also home-made preserves and yoghurts, definitely try these! Our room was well appointed and had a great shower in the ensuite bathroom. Beautiful garden.

The reviews are not wrong. This is a lovely place to stay, with such attention to detail. Breakfasts to die for - no need for lunch.
