Went to beech hill today for afternoon tea and was so disappointed from entering the building from the car park. The stairs were dirty and shabby, the girl in reception was a bit vacant and wasn't sure what to do with the voucher I gave to her.....(a present from a friend for our ruby wedding anniversary ) she told us... Stayed 4 nights with my partner and was very happy with the hotel. The service in the restaurant was spot on, the girl on reception was very kind to show us various walks in this area. A big thank you to all staff.. The view from the room is absolutely amazing I couldn't asked for anything more. Such a treat... More

We have just returned from a 2 nights stay at the Beech Hill and what a great stay it was. The rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated and provide a stunning view of the lake. Dinner in the restaurant was one of the best meals we've had and very highly recommended. The staff and the service throughout our stay was... More

Booked the Beech hill hotel as a romantic getaway and for the price we paid I was expecting something special. First impressions, it is in need of a serious refurbishment. Our room wasn't ready so we had a drink at the bar looking out over the lake. The view was stunning. Once our room was ready and we navigated ourselves... More

Stayed in Wordsworth suite which was very nice beautiful views nice spacious room and bathroom and added bonus of the hot tub! However if it wasn't for the amazing views which I suppose is what your paying for in this area I would say this room is ridiculously over priced when it comes to luxury the room doesn't even supply... While looking for somewhere to celebrate our Silver Wedding I remembered a place I had seen on a previous visit to the lakes.......Beech Hill. As we were celebrating we decided to treat ourselves to one of their Premier Plus rooms and for £410 for two nights we couldn't wait to see as they describe it 'our most luxurious room'. How... More

Just home from a three night stay at the Beech Hill hotel. Firstly we had informed the hotel that we had a wheelchair user in our party but this was not catered for. No help was offered to get w/c user into hotel and their room was at end of a long shabby corridor through a heavy fire door. There... More

Room 92 which is up 2 flights of stairs, no lift, but when booking was told & asked if I had mobility difficulties. Nice size room, comfy bed, clean & everything you need. The garden leads down to the lake, had the swimming pool to ourselves both days, very nice. Food very good, breakfast & dinner. Staff pleasant & helpful,... More

The staff were very helpful - we lost out little girls teddy , three days later it was found and returned ! The in house dining was " fine dining" excellent meal . The room was looking worn , and in need of revival , but an excellent nights sleep. Thanks x

Just got back from a two night stay. Booked late and must admit it was a bargain but the room left a lot to be desired. It was up in the eaves and very hot but with the window open it was really noisy. Hotel has really fantastic views over the lake but no where near enough outside seating on... More

Thank you for your recent review. Room 90 is a compact double and is described and sold as such online, and if booked direct with the hotel. The room is on the top floor of the hotel and I would describe it as having character! I agree it can get warm in the middle of a summers day, as can... More
