Stayed here for one night. The room had a spectacular view of the lake. Room looked recently refurbished and was bright and airy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a light sandwich and tea on the afternoon we arrived on the lovely terrace and enjoyed the views. In the evening we headed to Bowness, which is a... More

Attended a wedding at the Beech hill Hotel on the 25th/26th July 2015, Excellent venue, breath taking views from room and hotel balcony .Down side drink prices a little bit high, good friendly staff in reception and bar area, nice small swimming pool ideal for young children, not really big enough to do any fitness swimming but Jackson a 3... We had read the reviews for this hotel, which were quite favourable. However we were rather disappointed with the dinners which kept the same menu for the three nights we were there. Food quality for dinner was poor, although breakfast was good and substantial. We knew that the hotel is built on a hillside, and therefore had steps between floors,... More

The view and setting at Beech Hill Hotel are spectacular however potential travellers should be aware that it is a little way out of Windermere - beyond walking distance (for the purpose of going to a restaurant/ bar). This wasn't a problem for us as we had a car but did mean that one person couldn't drink when we went... More

I stayed here for 2 nights from the 15th July - 17th July. On check in I was asked if I wanted to upgrade for an additional £20. Our room was located four flights downstairs. We did struggle with our luggage however the view made up for it. The room itself was nice and clean. There were patio doors with... More

Stayed on three night break. Views from bedroom terrace stunning. Four poster bed needs dumping, drapes dusty and old. The whole room I think must be ready for total refurb! Bathroom large but dated again needs refurb. Housekeeping poor. Kettle needed replacing, would have expected bottled water and better tea coffee for 4 star . Food and service good in... More

Visited the restaurant as we have stayed here in the past and were wowed by the food. The food is still good but I feel the service of staff has declined. After having a starter of pigeon I was asked how was it , to which I replied, very nice but the pigeon was overcooked and dry to then hear... More

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It is a one star Hotel not Four. Put in a cellar room below the busy Road level. Had an interconnecting door with next room could hear everything. Resident was drunk and abusive in next room. Do not stay at this Hotel.

This is a very unfair refection of the Hotel. The guests booked a standard none Lake View room through a travel agent, and that was the room allocated. These rooms certainly aren’t “cellar” rooms, in fact they are on the same level as a number of our lake facing bedrooms. This kind of issue arises when guests book rooms on... More
