We were booked in elsewhere but found the road noise too much so we booked here last minute. Here there is birdsong. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pricey but well worth it. View to die for. Modern amenities. Room 21 is spacious with a hot tub and private deck. Have dinner, it is excellent.

As a regular visitor to Linthwaite I keep wanting to return. The food is excellent and the service is first-rate. The rooms are variable and are expensive - I have booked specific rooms and found myself somewhere else before now which is irritating. But I still want to go back!

couldn't fault this hotel, we were made to feel welcome from the very start of our stay, staff were wonderful, hotel spotlessly clean, food superb and an excellent wine list.

I dont do many reviews on Tripadvisor but I have to say something about our last stay at the Linthwaite. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with it`s own tarn and has a really informal friendly feel.
