Short Family weekend away with 1, 3 and 9 yr old Loveley lodge - Area on site large enough to feel like 'we got away' for a while, and keep an eye on the 3 and 9 yr old boys as they run and play around the lake

We had a four day break at White Cross Bay, in a 2 bedroomed deluxe lodge. We got there early, and had a bit of a wait before we could gain access to our lodge, so went and had a snack in the bar, which was very fresh and good. The lodge itself was very clean, beds made up, and... More

We've just got back from a fantastic Holiday at Grasmere 1 Lodge at White Cross Bay Holiday Park. The lodge was very spacious, clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. We booked our holiday directly with the owners through their website welovethelakes.com and it couldn't have been easier. As this is a privately owned Lodge, the owners... More

Chose WCB for it`s fairly central location within the lakes making days out allot easier, On arrival after 6 hr journey from Cornwall were made to feel very welcome, shown bar area, pool and restaurant. We chose a superior caravan for the extras that you get over the standards, the central heating being the most important, on entering the caravan... More

We stayed here last week and I am so glad we only paid £200 for a four night break as it wasn't to the standard we anticipated. I hear that a Deluxe Lodge can cost about £1000 a week in peak season! Save your money!!! We 'only' had a Classic Lodge, and they obviously thought that clients who are staying... More

We were looking for a park in the Lakes for a short break with our 2 year old and 5 month old and chose the White Cross Bay for it's facilities especially. The lodge we got was a standard one and it was standard. It needed a decor upgrade. The curtains and bedding were tired, mismatched and floral but clean... More

We stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe lodge and it was great. The lodge was extremely clean with all the facilities you would expect, flat screen tv, sky it had everything we needed. Situated in the perfect location overlooking lake Windermere, this holiday park has a lovely bar and restaurant which serves good quality food, the service of all... More

Not impressed. We stayed in one of the lodges. Size and cleanliness OK (just) The main problems were: 1) Very hot towel rail at ground level - Could seriously burn a child. (There was a switch in the airing cupboard to turn this off, which we did - it was on when we arrived) 2) Light fittings with bare bulbs... More

We (my partner myself and our one year old) have just come back from a four day break and had a fabulous time. We had a super delux lodge which looked brand new. The place was spotless. The beds had been made upon arrival and there were clean towels. It was very safe for our daughter who has just learnt... More
