This was our second visit to the Boundry. We stayed in the Fry room on the top floor. Lovely bedroom with an equally lovely bathroom. It's the little things that make this B&B enjoyable to return too. The ground coffee in the bedroom, the Hungarian goose feather duvet, bath salts scented with rose petals, homemade biscuits, breakfast is lovely with... More

We stayed in the Ranjir room, beautiful setting for a romantic stay. We should have stayed for 2 nights but slight hic up with the booking meant we could only stay for 1 night. Issue soon resolved. Location is very good for getting in to both Bowness and Windermere, good walk...needed to walk off a fantastic breakfast. Room was very... More

Great stay, very tidy and lovely staff. Breakfast was tasty, cooked just how I like it and well presented. The freshly squeezed orange juice was fantastic!! All in all a great place stay and very reasonably priced for accommodation that's stylish and central.

We visited the Lake District with our Grandparents and couldn't have had a more memorable experience. Thanks to Steve and the team who made sure we were well looked after and for honoring the special request in our booking to reserve a ground floor room for our Grandparents. Both our rooms were beautifully decorated and made for a comfortable stay.... More

This was our first visit to the Lake District and we could not have asked for it to have been any better. Steve and family were very gracious hosts and helped make the stay very special. Prior to arrival, I emailed Steve to include some special amenities in the room to surprise my wife, he did an excellent job and... More

Beautiful rooms and exceptional breakfast! We loved our stay at The Boundary, attention to detail is spot on and the location was perfect. With only 10 minutes walk from Windermere centre or Bowness-on-Windermere to the lake. Steve will cater to your every need and is very welcoming and friendly. We shall absolutely be back!

A great location on the outskirts of Bowness. We used this B&B as a base for a weeks walking holiday and we found it more than satisfactory and good value. The rooms are clean and the decor modern with a good bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and we had parking for our car.

Attention to detail greatly required. Cable tie nails used to attach canopy to four poster bed. Cup rings on furniture. Mould on bay window wall. Plug socket coming away from wall. Soap dispensers leaking. Dust on majority of fittings including Chandelier. Glasses had scum on bottom. Breakfast great and worth the wait. Advertised as shabby chic. Room I stayed in... More

Thank you for your review, and for drawing to our attention the various housekeeping points you have raised. The decor issue will be sorted shortly when the lead sill outside the window is repaired (scaffolding required for this - arriving end of month. I have no issue with how the canopy is secured and don't plan to alter this -... More

We have stayed in many B&B's and this one rates at the top end of them. The charm of the cricket memorabilia is a must for any cricket fan. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the breakfast is first class and the staff are a pleasure. Sorry it took so long in this review. Back again this August.

We toured the lakes and this by far was the best village to stay in, you are less than ten minutes walk to Bowness on Windermere with all the lovely shops, bars and restaurants, and up the hill by around 10 minutes you find yourself in Windermere itself. The lake is down beyond the shops etc of Bowness and is... More
