My fiance & I stayed here overnight on a rare childfree weekend break. After a bit of stress squashing my car into the tiny carpark we were really impressed with our huge bright & airy room. We stayed in room 6 & it was totaly gorgeous. Lovely decor & absolutely spotlessly clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable... More

We booked a night here for our anniversary. I arrived on my own (partner at work) and was made very welcome. The room was a good size and very bright. We had a lovely evening out then came back to the room. It was warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable and i was pleased to find extra pillows... More

We stayed here at the weekend for my Husbands birthday and had a fantastic stay. The rooms are quite basic, but modern decor and clean. Ecellent location over looking Windermere town centre. The staff were lovely and very accomodating. The food is the best i have ever tasted and is well worth staying just for this. will definatly recommend this... More

Hotel has good size rooms which were cleaned daily .With very friendly staff from the greeting you get from when you arrive to the staff in the resturant. Excellent food from breakfast to evening meal. A real enjoyable stay will go back.

Booked last minute. Easy to find and park (on their own car park). Welcomed straight away, and taken to our room. Spotlessly clean ,well appointed with a huge comfy bed! The quality breakfast was served by friendly staff in very pleasant surroundings. I'll definitely be visiting again, and would highly recommend.

Me and my boyfriend booked to stay here last minute for valentines day having booked online and we got such a wonderful surprise when we turned up. The rooms are great considering the cost, with a perfect ensuite, all so pristine and clean. The breakfast was amazing, all cooked fresh and great service from the staff. Although we didn't eat... We would definitely return to the Lamplighter. We wanted somewhere we could take our pups for there first trip away and the staff at the lamplighter were very accommodating, despite our pups being naughtier then we hoped. The food in the restaurant is a must. It is on the pricier side however it was worth it! As a vegetarian I... More

Just arrived home after a fabulous night away, The Lamplighter was one of the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed at. James and the staff couldn't of made us feel anymore welcome, and what the barman Jake - I think his name was (apologies if I have it wrong!) didn't know about alcohol...... Well!!! You have to visit this hotel... More
