We have just stayed at Fairfield for the weekend. We booked it as a treat for my birthday, a quiet weekend away without our children. We have been so impressed by the wonderful service provided by the owners and their staff, nothing was too much trouble. The room was delightful, over looking the gardens with a spa bath and massage... More

Just arrived home after spending a wonderful 3 nights at Fairfield House. It was a privilege to stay in such a period property, with a most beautiful peaceful garden, alive with songbirds. It was hard to believe the centre of Bowness was just a few minutes away from such tranquility. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern,... More

Thanks to the guests for the kind thoughts. liz and I read all reviews, and it is a pleasure to find that we have got it right. The garden is just starting to come into flower now and it looks like a great summer display is coming up. Tony More

We have just spent three days at this lovely guest house. The breakfast room overlooked the garden where many garden birds can be viewed using the bird feeders. Tony and Liz were most helpful and made us feel very much at home. A good variety of choices for breakfast and was served freshly cooked. Excellent. Brantfell Road where it is... More

Thanks for your kind words, we ceratinly enjoyed your company. We recognise that the hill is a challenge for some people, but a car solves the problem and we will always help with our car if requested. Regards. More

We needed an overnight stay whilst on route to Carlisle to collect our new car & really enjoyed our brief visit. Overall, we found Fairfield Garden Guest House a very restful and relaxing place to be. Everywhere we looked, there was something of interest to see and inspire. Liz & Tony were very welcoming and good cooks as well -... More

Our trip started off with a 350 mile trip to Scotland where we booked to stay in the Portsonachan Hotel only for us to get there and be turned away. They had a storm there the day before and had no water, gas, electricity or anything. They advised us to go to Oban (nearly 50 miles further) where they knew... More

Our stay here was fantastic before we even got there! Tony was so unbelievably accommodating over then phone, and even more so when we arrived! The rooms are clean, and there are nice little touches here and there. The shower is superb. The guesthouse has a lovely feel about it. Tastefully decorated and felt more 'homely' than most homes I've... More

We stayed for a weekend in October and were very pleased with the accommodation. Brand new bathroom which was lovely and a four poster bed. The breakfast on both mornings was excellent and the waiter, Victor, was a great asset - lovely man. Fairfield is right in the centre of Bowness which was great. The owners are lovely people and...
