Well !!! Check in was funny as the landlord greeted us in marigolds that looked like welders gloves, Not quite sure what he had been doing ? We were shown to our 'Luxury King Room with Spa bath' which was old and dated. The Spa bath was nice but the taps leaked, The tap on the sink was loose and... More

Well, I am dismayed at this TRIP ADVISORS “ Senior contributor’s review. I admit I did greet them with my rubber gloves on and full chefs kit as I didn’t want to keep guests waiting, (I was cleaning my oven, we have a Food HYGIENE rating of 5 out of 5 ) and I did apologise for my appearance as... This Guest House does exactly what it says on the tin - the accomodation is extremely pleasant, the beds are VERY comfortable, and - yes - the sherry is a great touch. The dining area is lovely and bright and the food and service is more than you could hope for. I would certainly recommend this a a base for... More

It's been some years since we stayed in a more traditional Guest House of this type but can't seem to remember having been to one as nice this The warmth of welcome is genuine and greatly appreciated however the Coppice itself is ideally situated and within easy reach of many fine eating houses and hostelries and even for the less... Stayed for two nights in busy Windemere. A very well run establishment with some nice touches. Decanter of Sherry was a great hit with my mother. Booked here because it was the only ground floor room we could find in any older Inn or B&B. Rooms are a little tired but in the process of being upgraded. Breakfast room is... More

Its been 20 years since we have been to Windermere and we had a great 3 days stay at The Coppice guest house. Very comfortable and a nicely decorated room, only downside would be en-suite was very small (we stayed in room 4). A lovely big breakfast with a huge choice set us up for the day.

Arrived on the 13th Feb lunchtime to a very warm welcome. We booked in and then shown to our room. It was well decorated and clean beyond expectations a small decanter of sherry was provided as we're ample amounts of tea and coffee. The room was not the biggest that I have stayed in but the standard more than made... More

Our room was the deluxe family room with ,which was very comfortable and freshly decorated , refreshed each day with fresh towels and toiletries.
