Stayed for two nights early April. Very enjoyable, good location a few minutes walk into the centre, very welcoming host, spotless comfy bedroom and shower room, superb breakfast with lots of choice. Highly recommended.

Our hosts gave us a friendly welcome and looked after us very well - helpful but not intrusive. Guest house is lovely, late 20th century townhouse with lots of period features and high ceilings. It's on a quiet road just off the town centre so ideal location. Our room overlooked the church, very peaceful. Everything is spotless, the room was... More

Can't fault this guest house. The tea and cake on arrival was great after a 3 hour drive then add a lovely clean room, and a fabulous breakfast. I would recommend the pancakes but it all looks superb, imaginative menu and well cooked. Definitely would recommend this to anyone

We stayed for 1 night over the weekend and cannot recommend it highly enough. A very warm welcome, a very comfy bed and one of the best breakfasts I have had in any hotel or guesthouse. The room was absolutely spotless, the bed very comfy and overall very cosy. First class in every way; we would definitely stay here again... More

This is a quality B&B that represents excellent value. We were welcomed with tea and cake, had a comfortable stay and an excellent breakfast. The choice and quality of the breakfast menu was excellent and included locally sourced food & home made bread. Proprietors offered local knowledge of good restaurants and pubs, which was really accurate & useful. Highly recommended.

We stayed here last night and couldn't have picked a more perfect place. We were greeted by both Lanie and Mel on arrival. The decor, cleanliness and overall standard of this guest house is worthy of the ratings given. Our room was beautiful and felt very homely and cosy. Breakfast this morning was superb and plentiful, cutlery and crockery were... More

I cannot speak high enough about this guest house. Absolutely superb quality facilities, beautiful decor and a level of cleanliness to match any top hotel. The owners couldn't have been more friendly and made me feel very welcome. A completely relaxing experience and I would definately visit again.

This really is one of the nicest B&B's I have ever stayed in. Friendly welcome, car parking disk provided and a genuine interest in my business interests in the Lakes. Room very clean and a nice big comfy bed. Plenty of hot water and warm room. Excellent decor with great attention to detail. The breakfast was 5*: fresh fruits and... More

I have just come back from a two night stay in Penrith, and this is where I stayed. I have NO complaints about the Guest House. What I liked about it was the warm welcome by Mel and his wife Lanie, the interior design of the stairways and my room, and the fact that it was very peaceful. The breakfasts... More
