This was a friendly place to stay. The owners were very welcoming and as soon as we entered we felt at home. They were attentive and could not have been more friendly. The breakfast was excellent with everything you could wish for, all freshly prepared and delicious. The room had a huge extra king sized bed and the whole stay... More

I've never written a review before and stayed in many bnb's and hotels but felt I had to for this one. After reading the reviews on Brandelhow we booked two rooms. Everything we read was true we were greeted with tea/coffee and homemade cakes. The whole house is immaculate, the kitchen door was permanently open, again immaculate. The rooms catered... More

Our two nights at Brandelhow House were very comfortable. Our room (Willow) could not have been better presented. A real highlight of our stay were the breakfasts, a real tribute to Laney. The house itself is an easy five minute walk to Penrith centre and although parking could be a problem at busy times, we had no such trouble. We... More

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, which was fairly unusual for Mel and Lanie, we were the first people to do so. This guest house made our honeymoon though, from day 1 they were perfect. The house itself is easy to find and parking was not difficult, although I imagine at peak time it may be a... More

Mel and Lanie were most welcoming as hosts and the B&B was easy to find, but parking was a bit of a headache! On-street spaces in front of the building were all occupied and we would have had to park an inconvenient distance away if a space in front of the local church hadn't become available at the last minute!... Stayed for two nights early April. Very enjoyable, good location a few minutes walk into the centre, very welcoming host, spotless comfy bedroom and shower room, superb breakfast with lots of choice. Highly recommended.

Our hosts gave us a friendly welcome and looked after us very well - helpful but not intrusive. Guest house is lovely, late 20th century townhouse with lots of period features and high ceilings. It's on a quiet road just off the town centre so ideal location. Our room overlooked the church, very peaceful. Everything is spotless, the room was... More

Can't fault this guest house. The tea and cake on arrival was great after a 3 hour drive then add a lovely clean room, and a fabulous breakfast. I would recommend the pancakes but it all looks superb, imaginative menu and well cooked. Definitely would recommend this to anyone

We stayed for 1 night over the weekend and cannot recommend it highly enough. A very warm welcome, a very comfy bed and one of the best breakfasts I have had in any hotel or guesthouse. The room was absolutely spotless, the bed very comfy and overall very cosy. First class in every way; we would definitely stay here again... More
