We had a very pleasant comfortable stay at the Brandelhow. We only stayed 1 night but we felt very welcome and were greeted warmly by the owners. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the kingsize bed made for a good nights sleep. There was a good selection for breakfast and my husband particularly liked the dried fruit compote... More

Absolutely loved my two night stay in this lovely guesthouse. Super room with lots of extras that were 'over and above' including fluffy bathrobes, classy shower products and mini fridge with bottled water. Delicious breakfast choices served by a friendly, very helpful host. Highly recommend and fully intend to return.

We have just returned from a couple of nights away at Brandelhow, and I am pleased to say we had a very pleasant time staying there. On arrival we were invited by the owners for cakes and drinks, and given the cakes that didn't use lard (as we are vegetarian), which just goes to show the attention to detail here.... More

Just stayed for one night only wish it was longer. The hosts could not do enough to help us. Rooms were excellent in both facilities and decoration standard. Breakfast was also really good quality food with an excellent choice. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of visiting this lovely place, you will not be disappointed with any aspect of... We stayed at Brandelhow last week for four nights. Both Mel and Lanie made us most welcome. A delightful guest house in prime location near the centre of Penrith, less than a 5 minute walk away. Everywhere and everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were not only beautifully cooked but immaculately presented and absolutely delicious - a great start... More

We recently had a very enjoyable stay at the Brandelhow Guest House. The standard of accommodation was very high indeed. Our room was spotlessly clean, very spacious (we booked a family room on a double occupancy basis) and extremely comfortable. The owners of the guest house were very friendly and helpful and it was obvious that they care that their... More

If you find yourself in Penrith, I recommend you stay here. It is a short work to the town centre (5 mins) and station (10 mins) and easily accessible from throughout the town. The room was quaint, spotless and very comfortable. The owners were extremely friendly and happy to help with whatever I needed. I stayed here during my birthday,... More

This was a friendly place to stay. The owners were very welcoming and as soon as we entered we felt at home. They were attentive and could not have been more friendly. The breakfast was excellent with everything you could wish for, all freshly prepared and delicious. The room had a huge extra king sized bed and the whole stay... More

I've never written a review before and stayed in many bnb's and hotels but felt I had to for this one. After reading the reviews on Brandelhow we booked two rooms. Everything we read was true we were greeted with tea/coffee and homemade cakes. The whole house is immaculate, the kitchen door was permanently open, again immaculate. The rooms catered... More
