Myself and some friends travelled down from Glasgow to Penrith last weekend. Three of us booked rooms here and the rest booked at a hotel along the road. Unfortunately, the man who came to the door took one look at us and turned us away saying he didn't want a large group (only 3 of us were staying here) or... More

Your group of (8 men) with bags arrived on our doorstep 3 1/2 hours after your booked arrival time for a room for (3) because you could not gain access to your other hotel? We fully advertise no stag or hen parties as we have had some serious damage done to our home in the past.. We saw your arrival... More

I stayed due to football commitments and loved it. I have already booked to stay again in April. The room was really big and had lots of nice touches. Needless to say the biscuits were eaten everyday. The breakfast was lovely and the location is really close to town. The best thing about this property were the hosts who always... More

We purchased the 6 day stay online to have a home site from which to visit the Lake District area. We took a taxi from the train station but after becoming familiar with the town took the bus when we left. We had planned to rent a car but the driving on the narrow roads on the opposite side of... One of several B&Bs on the edge of the town centre, the owners have attended to every possible detail from parking permits through to hot water bottles. I cannot imagine anything that has not been thought of. The help and guidance on places to eat etc was excellent. Breakfast is outstanding with a range of fruits, cereals, and main courses... More

Stayed for one night on our way back from Scotland. Room was very good and the bed was enormous. Breakfast was also good lots of choice and well presented. Will stay again if we are in the area. Other reviews are well deserved.

We stayed here for a cheeky bank hols getaway without the little one with the intention of doing some serious hill walking. The owners were warm and welcoming. The food was generous and delicious and absolutely no problem catering for my non-dairy requirements. The house itself is immaculate and the room well-appointed. In fact, there was a single bed in...
