We were 4 ladies on a overnight stay whilst cycling the C2C the guest house is ideally situated on the C2C route. The bedrooms were excellent and the choice and quality of the breakfast outstanding. The owners Lanie and Mel were the perfect hosts so friendly and obviously took a pride in delivering a first class customer service. We would highly... More

Our stay at Brandelhow was for a friends wedding in Penrith. It was ideally located, parking was free and the room was lovely. On top of that Mel and Lanie were lovely and the food was really tasty...would highly recommend it!

This is a lovely house. The rooms are impeccable and high quality. The breakfast is simply outstanding - the owner is a very good cook. We also ordered a packed lunch for a very long train journey home. Very good with excellent home made cakes. If you need a lunch, go for it. Its a great location. The rooms are... More

We stayed for 2 nights and are very fussy eaters. I am veggie, my husband is coeliac and veggie. This was no problem at all. The room was immaculate. Handy location, parking easy. A lovely stay, thank you.

We have been travelling heavy with burdened luggage by train all across England and Scotland. Brandelhow was the first place where we truly felt welcome and wanted. The owners were kind, warm, and welcoming. They agreed to watch our bags when we arrived early the first day and offered to take care of them for our late departure as well.... More

A B&B that we will definitely be re-visiting when we travel to the Lakes again. We stayed for 3 nights during half term whilst we travelled the Lake District. Clean and comfortable room with attention to detail to ensure your stay is comfortable & stress free. Fantastic breakfast suited to individuals - Our breakfast kept us going through our Scafell... I was on my way to Ben Nevis from London, so I picked Penrith as a logical stop on the way. It was for one night only but I wanted something more than a Travelodge. The Brandelhow Guest House exceeded my expectations. There was a very warm welcome! Penrith has a weird parking policy. You need "Parking Discs" that have... More

Very smart townhouse in superb condition very close to town. We managed to park right outside. Room quiet and spotlessly clean, with really good carpet, curtains, linen etc. Comfortable bed. We booked on their own website which means you can choose which room you have (all different, with pics). Breakfast excellent (imaginative choice and good quality) but a bit hushed.... More
