I had to go to my uncles funeral in Penrith so it was a sad occasion, but I really enjoyed my stay at Brandelhows, a very welcoming place .The room was very very comfortable and was nicely decorated with a great comfy bed and complete amenities in room and bathroom . The breakfast was very nice with really nice muesli... more

I stayed here with my partner as we were doing the Coast to Coast bike ride at the beginning of August. I must say that it is the attention to detail is what really makes this guest house stand out from the crowd. We were given a lovely welcome with fresh coffee and cakes upon arrival, just what was needed... more

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of July and couldn't have asked for a better guesthouse. The couple that run Brandlehowe were very welcoming and the breakfast was superb. Penrith is a lovely town and the guesthouse was convieniently located for access to all amenities, with the centre about 3 minutes walk away. My wife told me... more

We arrived at 11pm after finishing 13 hour shifts at work and travelling a great distance in heavy rain, our hosts neither welcomed us nor introduced themselves, rudely just making great fuss about our lateness despite our apologies. A breakfast menu was forced upon us to make our choice, before even unpacking our bags from the car, pressuring my partner... more

We are very suprised at this posting and slightly dissapointed. You arrived at 11.25 pm having not contacted us to inform us of your late arrival. All of our other guests were already in bed. Your partner was informed on booking that we do not accept after 10pm arrivals but he assured us you would be on time. We asked...

This is a great B and B. The owners make you feel welcome from the very beginning with a welcome pot of tea and homemade cakes upon arrival. The room was huge, the bed comfortable and the ensuite spotless. Breakfast was amazing - a fantastic choice which included lots of tastly options as well as the usual full English. Penrith... more

Having chosen a very wet day to start our C2C cycle we arrived in Penrith cold, wet and muddy to a very warm welcome at the Brandelhow. We couldn't have chosen a better stop off place . We were instantly warmed by pots of tea and coffee and home baking. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts - all... more

What a lovely B&B, with great hosts to match. I spent one night here en route to Glasgow and only wished I could have stayed a week! I arrived quite late and shown to a lovely room - with the biggest, most comfy bed ever! I had informed the owners that I was vegan, and there was a delicious home... more

One of the best B&B's we have stayed in. Everything was done correctly, the owners were charming and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The welcome cup of tea and cakes was a treat after a long trip from the South Coast and the breakfasts were amazing. Thoroughly recommended. more
