This is my 5th visit to Centerparcs at Whinfell Forest. It was just myself and my husband on the first visit with my niece tagging along since then. We stayed in executive accomodation for the first 3 visits but were disappointed on our second visit to Bilberry Wood with the state of the lodge as it was in dire need... more

We stayed at Center Parcs Whinfell Forest for a long weekend in March 2009. This was our first visit to Center Parcs and we had a great time. The reviews on the site baffle me. Overall, we found Center Parcs to be a brilliant experience and have already re-booked to return in November. We didn’t pay any extras so were... more

My advice to anyone planning to take a dog to Centerparcs Whinfell Forest is DON'T and if you've already booked, cancel as soon as possible. We have just returned from a week long stay with our two dogs and quite frankly, it was the most miserable holiday we have ever experienced. There is only one area of the forest that... more

We stayed at this resort last weekend and although I enjoyed the break I was somwhat disappointed with many aspects of this short hoiday. We booked this stay as I had some money off vouchers, We stayed in Original Style Executive 3 Bed Lodge, No. 83 Heatherglade. I must say the accomodation was EXCELLENT. It was the best and maybe... more

I'll cut to the chase with my review and won't waffle on about why we chose this trip etc; however as soon as we unlocked the door to the rather misleadingly named 'lodge', I just wanted to walk back out again and go home. On closer inspection, foam was spilling out of the torn sofa cushions; the kitchen area (open... more

Spent my birthday weekend here with my husband. We stayed in a lakeside apartment which was okay. Have previously stayed with friends in a large lodge which I think was better overall. We did have a nice balcony overlooking the forest which was nicely secluded and lovely to sit and watch the birds. I think the apartments with the lakeside... more

We took a short family break at whinfell Forest for mothers day - 2 adults & 2 boys aged 6 & 13. We stayed in an executive lodge directly on the lake so were very central to all activities, there was no need to hire bikes because of this although I would recommend them if you were further away from... more

Hi I stayed in the basic lodge and was suprised what good value for money it was. Apart from a musty smell that all centre park rooms seem to smell of (must be something to do with how there built) they are functional and clean. its a great place to go and i would definately recommending visiting the spa that... more

This was our first visit to any Centre Parcs and it was in a perfect location for us as we only live an hour away. The arrival process was very organised although we couldnt check into our accomodation until 3.30 which seems a bit late to me. We arrived just before lunch and familiarised ourselves with the place before going... more
