We had two stays in this Travelodge as a family on the way up and back from a holiday in the Highlands. The rooms were clean and ready for us with the usual lack of creature comforts of this budget hotel. However to forget to fill the shower gel dispenser was a new one on me. However once again the... I stayed here driving up the country to Glasgow. It was a convenient location for an overnight stop on this journey. A room for one cost me £47 and the area looks like it's made up of rooms like this and other areas where bigger groups can stay. There wasn't a huge amount of parking out the front of the... More

We stayed overnight as a family of four en route to Scotland to break the journey for the children and i was pleasantly surprised at the standard considering we paid only £47 for a family room. The adjacent Little Chef was ok although a little expensive as is the norm. The reception staff were helpful and provided a list of... More

We stayed at the Travelodge Penrith for 3 nights this week, and were pleasantly surprised with the experience. The hotel has been refurbished as part of Travelodge's national programme of upgrades, and the bedroom was large and comfortable - the bed was particularly so, and despite the hotel being close to the A66, we still got a good night's sleep!... Was allocated this room after being moved from Travelodge Carlise M6 due to the fact they had given the room to someone else. The man at receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was fine, it has a Little Chef and a burger King next to the hotel. Parking is Free Hotel is near Lake District and is close... More

This was easy to find and not far off the motorway going north. Room was clean with tea and coffee facilities which was welcome although there was only two satchets of tea provided but reception gladly gave you more. Our room was in the annex which was fine but other guests were rather noisy and shutting doors when others were... More

We three friends decided to walk down from Penrith to Ullswater Lake and back and Travelodge seemed perfect for the purpose. The hotel is a short walk (around a mile upwards from train station). The staff was very friendly and helpful, explained us everything we wanted to explore, from local attraction to places around and ways to reach there. They... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. On arrival the staff were on changeover and were arguing over the booking in sheets. They then argued over which room we were being allocated as the sheet said one thing and the system said another! We went up to the room and noticed dirty tea stains on the sideboard, hairs in the toilet and... More
