The whole experience of our Travelodge stay, hit all the right marks to fulfil our holiday needs to explore the Lake District. It left us with a happy warm glow, taking away the need to look for any other hotel when we next take a trip away, other than the Travelodge company again. Thank You So... Much Davey & Lisa... More

This is really a "Good" marking but the website doesn't allow this. We vowed never to stay at a Travelodge again after many bad nights, mainly due to the poor quality beds, and the general lack of care, attention and bleak rooms. However, after hearing of the much advertised refurbishing programme, we decided to try it again. One of the... More

Stayed here 3 years ago and swore I would never return as it was awful. As I was returning to centre parcs in Penrith, and wanted to break up the journey I decided to chance it and stay as it said it had been refurbished. Arrived on a very wet evening after 8pm, with a tired 6 year old. Checked... More

Couldn't fault comfort of big bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Bath and shower. Excellent value at £88 for Friday and Saturday night. Only criticism- a bit fusty smelling on arrival but soon fine with windows open and heater on. Would happily recommend

Not a place we have ever considered before on our frequent trips to the North Lakes but this was done in a last minute flurry. Like a previous reviewer I was a little concerned about possible noise. Our room was in the main block and looked out over Burger King, Little Chef and the A66. However my fears were groundless,... More

My first experience of a travel lodge, staff friendly and helpful, The room I stayed in was a double very spacious, bed comfortable, tea and coffee in room, large tv. Bathroom with shower, toilet made a loud noise on flushing. I was a bit worried about noise coming from the main road outside and from Burger king and the Little... More

We stayed three nights at this Travelodge and thought it excellent value, particularly when set against the increasing cost of some B&Bs in the Northern Lakes. The rooms were large and airy and the bed particularly comfortable. Some work needed to be done to solve the drains smell in the bathroom and outside corridor on the first floor, but, apart... More

Very convenient for most parts of the Lake District. Hotel is fine and the staff are excellent. Facilities of Penrith are very good. As usual with TL, though, the web- site booking experience was poor
