Stayed at Ashbank B&B whilst attending a wedding in Penrith and didn't want to drive home. We never stay at small places but we are so glad we did. Nothing was too much trouble even when we arrived back late - sorry by the way. Unfortunately we don't need to stay in Penrith much otherwise we would stay a lot... More

Have used Ashland a few times and every time I have NOT been disappointed. Rooms are comfortable, clean and have good space to work in. Breakfast is great and the location is spot on. Keep up the good work

My wife and I would have no reservation in staying here again, lovely people, great food and very comfortable. Richard has a great knowledge of the area so you only have to ask and you will have all the information you need on days out or eating out..

We stayed here for one night on our way up to Scotland. Richard, the owner, is a most genial host, He is a trained chef & our meals were excellent. The B& B is conveniently situated with nice views from the sitting & dining rooms. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

Was travelling to Scotland and stopped of in Penrith to break the journey and my boyfriend and I booked into Ashbank bed and breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and the views from the window were breathtaking. The breakfast was the best we have ever eaten in a B&B. We have booked a stay on our return journey home.... More

I book all of the three rooms 5 months in advance for two nights for 2, 2 and 1 persons. I was told the cost would be £75/£70/£45 x 2 = £380 as shown in the brochure. I inquired about discount as mentioned in the website and was advised I could have the package for £332. I paid £40 deposit... More

Arrived around 7pm after a six hour drive and Richard couldn't have been more helpful. Very comfortable en suite double with use of a separate lounge with TV, excellent breakfast. M6 is very close and noisy outside but not inside. Lovely views. Good price at £45 as the North Lakes Hotel, 4 minutes down the road is £100 more!
